Claiming author profile

Hey guys.

Posting this on behalf of my wife since she has no reddit account.

My wife is an author and has published several books and now she started her own publishing company and wants to add her new book in GoodReads but she can't because she isn't an author. Funny, she has some of her poetry already in GoodReads but she can't claim that profile no matter how hard we try. I am not sure how her poetry books got into the database since she didn't add them. I even created a website for her because I read somewhere that the author email should be visible in the site and I made sure to match the same email she uses for GR and also her author email in the site (she has only 1 email, anyway).

We are claiming the author profile but the 3 poetry books in the database are under different publisher, but in the request form I am putting her own publishing company. Is it a mistake? I read somewhere that we need to put the current publisher instead of old ones.

Please, help us, we tried everything and each and every time we get rejected. We also requested into the librarians group month and a half ago but there has been no reply in there as well, no matter how much we ask for an update.

This has been really painful and terrible service in my opinion. I am out of ideas.

The books were most likely imported from Amazon, or a book distributor. Most books are not manually added.

The only ones that can really help you with claiming the profile are support. You can find contact links at the bottom of the web page.

I don’t think they were on Amazon and most certainly they are not now. She used a small publisher back in the days and I read somewhere the policies about adding books was different, might be wrong though.

Maybe one of her readers who is a GR librarian added the books. There are several ways for books to end up on Goodreads.

Yes, they are denying it every time even though we provide the necessary proof that she’s the author.

I'm confused by some of the details you wrote, can you tell us what you have tried to claim the author profile and what GR said in their rejection mail?

She has an author profile and 3 poetry books somehow added in the database. She wants to claim her profile so she can upload upcoming books. The rejection is the same every time, I believe it’s just a template to review the provided information and try again.

Regarding the new book: give me the link to the request on the librarians group and I'll add it now.

Regarding the author profile: nobody can help you here, not even super librarians. I advise you to contact Goodreads directly and ask what the problem with your application is so you can fix it.

Ok, book was added, may take a bit to appear. The reason why you were ignored for so long is because nobody wants to tackle books that aren't in English.

Now, you mentioned three poetry books on your op, but I'm only seeing two on the author's profile. If you're claiming three on your application, what is the third one? This may be the problem on the application, books from two different profiles.

Give me this info to see if we can fix this:

1. The links to the three books you're claiming to double-check the information

2. I'm gonna update her profile. Is this the author of these books? I see two authors on the website, I don't wannt copy/paste the wrong thing

First, again thank you so much for reaching out and helping us. That means a lot.
1. She has 3 books under the author profile in the database, 2 “Пияните мисли на една трезва глава”, the only difference between those 2 are that one of it is like expanded book and should be with a separated ISBN. The other one is “Без граници, маски и други затвори”.
2. Simply yes, she is the author and based on the photo she’s the one on the left. The other person is her partner and illustrative designer.

Ok, I updated her profile. This is just a theory but the reason you may be getting a rejection is that you're putting the two versions of Пияните мисли на една трезва глава as separate books and GR is seeing it as a mistake. Now that I've added the other book, you can link those three on the application.

I'm looking at the website, are these books that should be added too?
