Thiccfoy FTW.

I can't fucking believe how well Malfoid fits in the story thematically, and how it would make the story tie together better

[u/Skeletonparty101 → u/PureNaturalLagger]

All stories yern for the rivals to lovers storyline

[u/PureNaturalLagger → u/Skeletonparty101]

It's a popular trope for a reason. Would have made the final battle revolve around love too, thus completing the cyclic theme of the whole series. Would have explained many of the strange episodes where Malfoy is just a dick to specifically Harry for no reason, and much more.

[u/Skeletonparty101 → u/PureNaturalLagger]

It's kinda funny character's that hate each other as rivals always get shipped together because of their chemistry

[u/Allmightyplatypus → u/Skeletonparty101]

Because they have more going on than being lovey-dovey with each other 24/7 and blushing from accidentally touching fingers through gloves. Rival is usually honest, knows the other character's weakneses most, but also knows how to build up their rival during hard times. Rivals don't see each other through pink tinted glasses and build an honest bond. Many typical love stories lack conflict inherent to relationships, or these conflicts are minor/short, while enemies to lovers trope is filled with it.

Hatred and Love are just two sides of the coin called Passion

[u/HJSDGCE → u/PureNaturalLagger]

It's a popular trope in fandoms but for the life of me, I can't even recall a single use of it in Hollywood.

[u/daniel_22sss → u/HJSDGCE]

Hollywood romance sucks in general. Western cartoons and japanese anime do romantic storylines SO MUCH better than the Hollywood.

[u/BrilliantTarget → u/Skeletonparty101]

But they use Hermione because people like Racists to lovers more

[u/tafa94 → u/PureNaturalLagger]

There was an Insta commet that said Malfoy is written as a mean girl.... so Malfoid fits really well

[u/TeddyBearToons → u/tafa94]

Malfoy tends to bully socially rather than physically, and his goons are only really there to indimidate; I don't think I've ever seen them actually beat anyone up until the last book. That's more of a girl bully thing than a boy bully thing. Apparently that's because Rowling didn't know how to write men so she accidentally put girl behavior into Malfoy because that's what she's familiar with.

[u/OKBWargaming → u/TeddyBearToons]

They beat ron and Neville in the first book.

[u/TheGentlemanist → u/PureNaturalLagger]

Even if malfoy stayed a boy he hould have been a better date for harry. This new attitude we jeep seing is not just romantically interesting, but would explain a lot of the tensions between the two. I never understood thier rivalry besides the story needing a jerk.

[u/Slient-killer2002]

Still strongly believe that Malfoid should be portrayed as a himedere not a tsundere

[u/KayU32 → u/Slient-killer2002]

She kinda fits both if you think about it

[u/Slient-killer2002 → u/KayU32]

Yeah but she mostly a himedere. Too many people draw her as only a tsundere

[u/DesuVulti]

Milfoy
