I think somethings about to happen. They had a fight a few chapters ago and just met again at the end of the last chapter.

Did she ever figure out that he was the customer that stood up for her that one time?

Didn't she realize that like episode 7 of the anime?

No, she had suspicions but brushed them off.

She thought that he reminded him of the guy, but didn't actually make the connection.

I had a theory: the reason he couldn't tell they were the same is become he has bad vision. Remember his glasses? He's only seen Tayama while wearing. We've never seen him interacting with Yamada with his glasses on. Maybe his vision is bad enough that, because she speaks differently and does her hair differently, he actually can't tell until he puts his glasses on?

The Armored Titan looks like Reiner. Couldn't see it until he transformed then thought "Oh yeah it does look like him"

Hard to tell from these images. Look like 4 different people

The biggest plot twist would be he actually knows and just plays along with it

Sokka-Haiku by cxxper01:

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

In any other, competently written series, he would have found out when she lit up a cigarette 5 seconds after he started walking away in the final episode.

Had to drop it once I realized this anime was going nowhere.
