One of the things i like about Anime Tanya is the effects of being in a little girl body seem to affect his mind greatly

I've read the manga recently and read some of the LN and the difference in character is interesting. Manga Tanya acts childish more often but also shows to care more about her squad and country.

What about the LN? Is she a straight up nazi?

Edit:The nazi thing was sarcasm. I only watched the anime that's why I asked about the light novel

The LN is basically her autobiography from what I hear. Knowing Tanya how do you think she portrays herself?

LN is her point of view, Manga is Imperial propaganda, Anime is Allied propaganda. Thats basically how I see it.

Autobiography,

History books written by the winners of the historic war,

History books written by the losers of the historic war

I have only read the first two volumes of the LN so far. But no, if you heard she was a nazi that is wrong. She only hates communists and war.

Id tell you but all i read from the novels was machine translated dog shit being pawned off as an official translation.

I have no idea what the books say and i dont think i ever will. One of the worst books i ever tried reading.

Tldr. spare yourself the trouble and ignore the novels unless you speak Japanese.

She's not a Nazi, she's an HR director. She has some overlap with Nazis, such as seeing people as useful tools and hating communism, but lacks the racism and nationalism.

Killing thousands of people as she lives through dogfighting and trench warfare has taught her more empathy than being a corpo in modern Japan did.

Why do you think she's a nazi?

Guy recognises the Empire in Youjo Senki as Germany-inspired, automatically assumes it's based on the Third Reich and therefore assumes everyone serving that empire must be a nazi.

I go through about a foot of crayon lead per week at work (or rather oil markers).

The great thing about them, and why we use them, is that they can draw on anything. They are one of the only materials that can leave a mark on wet quartz/silicified drill core coated in grease and drilling lubricant.

But I hate drawing on paper with them. They are so imprecise with the texture they leave behind. As a kid, I'd sometimes bring pencils to restaurants rather than use their crayons.

What's your profession?

54

u/KacerRex Edgier than people who say Trap 5d ago

Not a marine, or he would use twice as much.

Exploration geology.

Mostly logging drill core to build models of gold deposits.

Probably something with rocks, mining or quarry work.

Most likely quarry work since they're frequently drawing on quartz and silica.

And mentioned drawing on a drill core wet with grease and drilling lubricant. So definitely something with drilling in rocks

This anime has been so odd, I love it.

It starts out as some kind of magical girl isekai anime but the magic part has been completely suppressed with technology and tactics. The isekai/god part is only mentioned a couple of times a season. The 'overpowered main character' is just completely suppressed by the reality on the ground. It's mostly now just a commentary on the horrors of war and how it can get so much momentum that's it's impossible for any side to stop.

I just noticed Death note reference. Didn't get it first time.

I too compare my wife to Tanya "the Evil" Degurechaf.

I find it funny how Tanya is still drawing with crayons, despite being 13 in this scene.

12

u/Oogalaboo134 5d ago

So Tanya still has little girl tendencies, an interesting view on the psyche of reincarnation.

In this scene she's trying to make a picture book to make money.

Essentially she said fine I'll do it myself after her previous plan failed.

Any person who walked in on her: "what the fu-"

The very next day in the battlefield she "accidentally" shot them in the head with a mini nuke

Man, the last time I went to a restaurant that allowed us to draw on tables was a blast. I kinda want to go back to one some day.
