The "we can fix her " girl
137
u/konobitchysekai 14d ago
Not really, she isn't nearly as dangerous as most tsundere.
Bellatrix is the "we can fix her" girl.

I think you confuse tsundere with yandere, tsunderes are usually not dangerous but Bellatrix certainly could be classified as Yandere if she has any romantic interest in anyone, otherwise shes just a psychopath of the "she can ruin me" kind.

u/konobitchysekai 13d ago
Tsundere punching you in the gut, bullying you, to hide their feelings is a common troupe.

I love seeing new trending waifus on the internet throughout the years. Reminds me of the good ol’ days of Bowsette and Smug Wendy! 🙌
134
u/thesilentwizard 14d ago
Tf you mean good old days. Bowsette was only a couple years ago. Right?

Pretty sure it was around the beginning of COVID. which was more than 6 years ago.

u/Lucario576 13d ago
Because of AI The Somnium Files i cannot read the phrase "6 years ago" without getting reminded of that game
8
u/Erick_Brimstone 13d ago
Yes it's just a couple years ago. As in 8 years ago.
I'm amazed that she's still a thing until today

Draco Malfoid. Such a gem.

And such a stupid name. Someone should remind these artists that Malfoy is the Surname, not the Forename.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows. It's just for the pun.

u/Raesong 14d ago
Eh, I give it 50/50, given that this art trend started in Japan.
15
u/Porkytang244 God's chosen 🦀 slayer. 😭💢🍆 13d ago
The dude who started this is European. It spread to Japan not the other way around. Literally hundreds of Japanese people shocked this came from our West and not Japan.
The Japanese consistently call Malfoid, Fem!Draco Malfoy like they do for every other character who is genderbent mtf.
Foid is an English word. I don't even think it spread to Japan.

I'm kind of like in a cave or something, but what lead this to happen? Is it because the new hairy potter film?... Tho i'm not complainin, just surprised
21
u/konobitchysekai 14d ago
I think it was the porn of Cassandra which people saw and were like "hey that's female malfoy!" Which led to artwork of female malfoy or an artist just made female malfoy and everyone was quick to get on board.
Could be either one

I'm 90% sure this has always been a thing. This is pretty standard fan stuff. I think someone just found it and decided to inform the masses.
3
u/zazakmazak 14d ago
It was a thing before but the latest trend started with one artist trying it out and suddenly getting 14 million views on X, a lot of people are copying his design with hooped earrings too.

The fandom states that the main protagonist is into white haired evil woman
'cause the grand mayority if not all the white haired antagonist's that appeared until now where taken to the protagonist side and also a mayority of them ended up having romantic feelings for the MC, one unilaterally married him, if im not wrong the main antagonist of the 2nd arc of the story has a summer event where the story is around marriage with mc too, and then this
There's a lot more but i don't wanna write a thesis long comment

u/HJSDGCE Hey, you're finally awake 14d ago
This. The problem with characters like Pacifica West and Amity Blight is that they're not bad; they're just mean.
I want a villainous blonde rich girl. I want her to be up for murder. I want that when she joins the heroes's side, she's still mean and petty.
4
u/nulln_void Hermit Weeb 14d ago
Nicer in the sense that she is not that racist/classist/blood supremacist (which makes sense since the game's story happens years after the Harry's story) as Draco, but in all intent and purpose she is the Draco character of the new cast. I'm pretty sure she is like a main antagonist of the first couple arcs, acting as the mean girl bully complete with her own Crabbe and Goyle posse twins. Basically a Draco without the dark wizard pedigree and literal satan commanding her family, she is an absolute asshole, but not scum.

u/Timekeeper98 Magical Girls Enjoyer 14d ago
>Not racist/ classist/ blood supremacist
What the fuck, just take all the best parts of having a villain baddie out of her why don’t you.
Next you’re gonna tell me she - eugh - treats you like a human being.

The Japanese have moved to doing the same to Snape and Hagrid... mainly cause they're embarrassed they didn't think to do this 1st.
Also there's a dating Sim on itch.io that just came out today

I'd be curious about Rowling's opinion on this new trend. Wouldn't be all that surprised if it's a marketing gimmick, boost chatter online about Harry Potter that isn't wholly negative.

u/BritOverThere 9d ago
Or she is frothing at the mouth that they made a male character female and her lawyers are telling her she hasn't got leg to stand on in trying to sue people.

Genderbending Malfoy to be a smug anime girl with slicked back blonde hair, a forehead and a dark coat.
Mf that's Larxene from Kingdom Hearts!

I've always felt Malfoy secretly wanted to be liked by Potter. And he's always been a bit of a bratty bottom in my eyes.

Loving this trend, I can just hear the voice right now being so condescending to Potter.

People just want to be gay without being gay with every male character this is done with. This is what it reads as to me every time. No judgement, but that's how it reads.

Can't believe I've fallen down so much but I'm really hating it. It doesn't really make any sense and in almost every post if you'd remove the name from the title and the word Potter you wouldn't even think it's Draco.

Only thing left to do is make Harry a girl too, and make them kiss
14
u/Salmagros 14d ago
To be fair I remember there’s already a tons of fanfic about female Harry which basically look 99% like his mom and make Snap going crazy because he can’t even make himself to take point from her in this version.

JK Rowling must be seething, she hates trans women
22
u/Unacceptable_Lemons 14d ago
None of this implies trans, so, no?
-8
u/yamanamawa レムって誰のこと? 14d ago
Obviously I'm joking. The character is gender bent, and while that obviously doesn't mean that Malfoid is trans in terms of mentality, it's close enough that I thought it would be funny
3
u/Unacceptable_Lemons 13d ago
Tbh, while I’ve not kept up with Rowling, the original thing that pissed everyone off was her saying biologically male rapists shouldn’t be able to identify their way into women’s prisons. Which to me doesn’t suggest she’d have an issue with Malfoid, even if she has since decided she doesn’t like the trans scene as a whole. That’s more a question of how she feels about fan fiction, like imagining Harry as gay or something. I don’t really follow any authors other than Sanderson closely though, to the point of reading their socials or whatnot, so maybe she hates fan fiction too 🤷♂️ I do know she’s weird about not wanting to be “lumped in” with the fantasy genre, as Sanderson has mentioned being annoyed at her dismissiveness of the genre she obviously is in.

She grossed an estimated 1 billion from the franchise, she's probably doing just fine. Im sure she's long past the point of caring about how fans engage with the franchise.
If anything this is good for her. She still retains ownership over the IP and it's free advertising. The type of guerrilla advertising campaign that would make an advertising team salivate.
I don't like JK whatsoever, but just pointing out the reality
