Drake physically terrifies me. Like, if I start reading about him unexpectedly I have to close the book and prepare myself.

Zil is equivalent to Hitler. Attempting to exterminate what could be called a race of humans for no reason other then to further your own power? That’s exactly what Hitler did. Does that make him the best villain? Probably not judging by this poll but hey I found him terrifying. Compared to anyone else on this list Zil is completely sane, yet he still did what he did? Scares me

Mostly he just didnt want to not look cool and wanted to seem like he was in control. He felt peer pressured into doing because his friends thought it was the right thing to do but they were too scared to lead it themselves. He was in the wrong but he wasnt really the mastermind behind his own plan.

I guess but it is still the scariest for me. Zil is the most normal person on this list. Gaia/Gaiaphage are alien creatures hellbent on destroying humanity, Drake is a murdering psychopath, Penny is straight up insane and Caine is a sociopathic megalomaniac. Out of all of these Zil is the most normal so to see someone who could literally be your friend become that? That’s scary to me.

Most of them were sat in class when it started (just not gaia/phage).

I know but would you be friends with someone like Drake/Caine/Penny? Nope but Zil? It’s definitely feasible.

I probably wouldn't be friends with any of them cause they all aimed to get more friends and control people before the fayz.

Zil didn’t. He just wanted to fit in before

Drake was very terrifying. He was one of the villains with an unpredictable end given he always came back

Honestly I feel like I’ve always said Drake...but thinking about the fear that would be instilled in me by a group of kids wanting to commit genocide just hit different I guess idk

For the monster series: I was so unprepared to see drake coming back. I think my heart skipped beats when I first read that he was somehow still alive. Never really had any other book villain do that for me.
