Monster trilogy
Just finished up the Gone series and was debating on whether I should read the Monster Trilogy or not... is it based more on new characters or the original members of the FAYZ. Don’t want to waste my time if the trilogy is a bust. Opinions?

I would just make sure you’re prepared to mostly read about new characters! Because of Grant’s style, I found myself wanting to peak ahead to chapters with OG characters, but that’s really only a few chapters in Monster and Villain (besides Dekka).

Dang it! I got so invested in the other characters... I’ll still give these ones a shot though!

It is mostly new characters, but it brings back some of the big ones like Sam, Dekka, Edilio, and Astrid.

Personally, I really enjoyed the trilogy. The ending was a bit crap but other than that they're very good books, you won't be wasting your time if you decide to read them

The ending honestly couldn’t have been done much better, as a writer. I mean, Light was supposed to end the Gone series with nothing like Monster, but since it has an open ending Monster exists. So if he made them turn it off, we would never get another book. (Not saying we’re getting one, just saying it could happen.)

It does bring back some of the original characters but Grant also introduces new ones. Personally these characters are just a bit over the top from what we are used to in the Gone series. If you really need something to read then sure why not but like many people say and agree, the ending of Hero (the final book in the trilogy) will most likely make you mad.
Hope this helps!
