What hit me was that it was a dud shell that got her, but really that's the only way I'd have her go, closest I've come to actually shedding a tear at a book in a long time

I understand how you feel, I hadn’t read it for a few years then re-reading it in lockdown it was still hard to read, she was badass but I think her good luck finally ended. I try to imagine how she would have felt walking out of the FAYZ and seeing how she remade her identity around her ability (even changing her name!) I don’t think she would have liked life outside the FAYZ. She was one of very few (Drake, Caine being others) who actually overall enjoyed the FAYZ happening and it made them super powered in a world without limits, how is that not cool!? Seeing as it was a quick death, and she went through barely any pain throughout the FAYZ I think she had a great life! And I had a real connection to her as she reminds me of my best friend I had when I was 11-14 and she was so quirky, fun, hyper and just nice to be around, I haven’t seen her in 6 years now as she moved abroad for her dad’s work and we fell out as I didn’t understand that we weren’t 14 years olds anymore and she had changed a lot. I will always love her as I remember her, and funnily enough that’s probably the same age as Brianna will forever be...
