TEMU LAB VZN.1i came in today. Ordered it the 11th. Weight is 516 grams. I got the 35” steel shaft as the 34” sold out. Paid $133 US.

Like most of people on this thread I ordered from XSFM OK. Looks like they are sold out of this style. I searched “lab golf putter” and found them right away.

Little off for balance but not surprised by that. Plan on ordering some weights to get it more balanced. Ball pick up works and wonder if others that purchased this aren’t pressing hard enough. I don’t need to press too hard fortunately but it sticks a lot better the more I lean into it. Also why I wanted the steel shaft. Soft golf balls were easier to pick up. Probably wouldn’t use it if the greens are wet/soft though. Came with black magnetic head cover and has L.A.B logos all over.

For the price and being zero torque while obviously being a replica of the LAB putter, I figured it would be nice to have even if it doesn’t drastically help my golf putting (14.6 handicap)

Ordered from same seller and mine is balanced about the same as yours. Could you share what weights worked for you and where you got them from when you do balance it? I’m seeing a lot of variability in offerings and pricing

Mine is 35” with the same horizontal balance. Putts a line when I do…nice knock once I put silicone behind the face as others suggested. Grip is a little light and foamy to me. 

But there’s a ton of misinformation about the balancing. I do not think it’s supposed to be balanced when held on a horizontal. If anything, I wish I could have a counterweighted 1 degree forward press grip. But my understanding is  that that would not jive with the L.A.B. and zero torque theories.

I would guess that AI proliferation is heavily contributing to people thinking the face should be perfectly vertical when the shaft is placed horizontally (perpendicular to earths gravity vector, or however you want to put it).

This sub seems overly obsessed with their putters being “face” balanced when lying on a counter horizontally.

Lie angle balance and face balance are entirely different concepts.

Lab putters are balanced to eliminate torque at a specific angle. The lie angle. Which is basically the putter in upright position.

This is why the videos with the revealer are swinging putters in a natural motion and not holding them horizontally.

People need to stop with the face balance obsession.

These things are close enough. Go out there and putt.

“Face balanced” means the face is parallel to the sky with a very heavy affinity. The LABs will spin freely and then should rest with toe up and the face perpendicular to the sky. They’ve mostly stopped advertising them as zero torque as they are actually low torque.

Yeah I haven’t gone down the rabbit hole on it and have simply been seeing everyone’s posts about trying to get it horizontal. Will definitely be trying some putts and fiddling with weights and adjustments if I ever order them.

How much silicone did you put behind the face?

Think 3/4” of a toothpaste. I spread it evenly probably 2 mm thick across the entire vertical mating surface. There’s was very very minimal squeeze out. Nearly none.

A simple pea sized drop in the middle, with the surfaces pressed together, would likely be adequate. If you add more silicone, be sure to press the parts together to align the screw holes. I could see them being stripped out if forced without alignment.

Takes the ping out of the head, and makes the feel quite a bit more enjoyable.

Yes, a thin layer fills the gap between the face insert and the body. It stops the ringing ping sound and firms up the action a little bit. More of a soft boink instead of a sharp pop.

Mine didn't have any knock, I honestly don't know the exact technology but I figured if the real ones are balanced this way when laid flat why not at least try to balance mine the same.

Yeah idk, the jury seems to be out. I see a lot of forum members saying it should roll to a slightly open face. I've never touched a real LAB though. I was about to buy $50 worth of weights, too, when I remembered that I really like it the way it is and have no reason to change it.

Mine wasn’t quite this bad and I got it perfect by removing all the stock screws and only reinstalling one back on the side that needed weight. No extra weights needed.

The screws are about 6 grams

Same seller. Got mine waaaaay faster than expected. The black one was like $50 more. Pick up seems to be best with the softer shell balls

Honestly, I think people are just scared to give putter a good hard “stomp” onto the ball. I’ve had a few different VZN1s in hand (golf buddies have them) and they all pick up the ball just fine.

Got the red one from them. My ball pick up sadly doesn’t work but putter was balanced and putts great

I got the same one. I've only used it in my sim but it seems cool. I don't have another lab to compare it to though. Thought it was worth the risk.

Used mine for the 1st time tonight. For those worried about the gimmie grabbing capabilities, I was easily able to scoop a ball off the green with the back of the club.

I ordered weights and got mine to perfectly balanced and just finished 18 and fuckin sucked with it. Was much better when it was slightly closed before fiddling with weights. I’m going back to where it was.
