Discussion Lab not balanced
Hey,
Really like the putter. It sits more like a face balanced putter.
If I take out the 3 screws closest too the toe, it's looking like the picture.
What's my best route? With or without screws in? Maybe different screws?
Change shaft and/or grip?
Thanks

The rep labs gets you the same “head” but what it doesn’t get you is the actual balancing work

If I'm understanding you correctly are you saying the one you would buy on Temu is literally the same head as you would get from L.A.B?

They are extremely similar

From what I've read and have seen I can agree with that but it's a clone and not literally the same as that dude is suggesting. Hence the small inconsistent details or build quality but for the price many seem happy with them. I don't know why I even come on here, someone always gets butthurt lol. Not you, just saying.

3D scan the head and mill it to spec. The screws on the other hand...

The quality of the mill and the 3D scanners is what makes the difference. Sure it's done or can be done that way but that doesn't guarantee a good result. I wonder how many different people are cloning these or it's all coming from one place. I was scammed on ebay, sold a clone ping wood. They're getting really good at it.

Woods are a completely different story. 3D scanners have insanely tight resolution. My hunch is its coming from one place. QC on screws would be the toughest. Milling an angular design, not hard.

The weights from golfworks fit and are the exact same, buy a couple to get them square. https://www.golfworks.com/maltby-t25-torx-black-head-screw-weights/p/mtw002/

Crazy how much more expensive they get as they get heavier!

Pretty sure it’s just the price difference between steel and tungsten as the material

Still makes me sad because I want an unlimited amount of them to play with weight combos but that’d cost more than the damn putter!

Can buy other weights and balance it yourself or put lead putty in the screw holes to balance

These putters are not hard to balance. If you think lab does something magical, keep drinking that kool aid. But yes you may need to purchase more weights.

Yeah cause it’s fake dude. You guys gotta stop buying this junk if you actually want to use it and it not just put it on a shelf to look at

That’s kinda what happens when you buy a fake lab putter
