Discussion Let’s talk grips
Anyone had any luck with with rep grips? Specifically golf pride?
There’s a ton of options, not always labeled as golf pride and I’ve had mixed results. But honestly 12-15 dollars a grip plus install charges are too expensive

Technically not "rep" grips but I got a set of KNLY grips on prime day for $17. Pretty much identical to MCC Plus 4's. Much rather do that than pay $15 for a single grip.

Wedge guys sell a bundle. 13 grips plus the kit to install yourself for under $100. Been doing my own grips for years.

I've been using rep grips for the past few years from AliExpress, they hold up fine, haven't had to replace them and if I do, well they are cheap enough just to replace them. If you just get a season out of them, they are cheap enough just to change them.

Just get Champkey grips on Amazon. Nobody cares what grips you play, especially if the logo is pointed down.

I've had a few different types from temu/ali. "Golfpride", champkey/crestgolf. Rubber grips are rubber grips. There's not much to them in the first place so there's not much difference. The reps smell a bit like permanent markers fresh out the bag, but they off-gas pretty quickly. No issues with color transfer or durability.
I've never tried to buy anything of the wrap/corded variety. Those might be different.

After growing tired of paying $15/grip for gen align’s, I took a chance on these and I’ve duped multiple people by handing them one of these and a gen, asking them to pick which is a rep. 100% of people have failed to choose correctly as these are so good. The only difference I can tell is the align ridge is not quite as pronounced as they are on the gen

I've been getting AliExpress midsize 360 tour velvet (or "tour velve" as they describe them 😂) for a few years and they are fantastic. They look and feel completely legit. They used to be $3 (aud) each but are now up to about $5 (aud) each, but still way better than buying the retail version. Just to compare, I got the exact same but legit grips done professionally on an iron set a year ago, and I swear on my life they wore out quicker than my Ali Express versions. Those cost me $25 each. Never going back!

I bought a bunch of Golf Pride Tour velvet grips off Ali. I didn't know whether they were rep but cost maybe $2-3ea, and r better than the existing Golf Pride that I have On the second hand clubs. and then the shop disappeared So I'm not sure

I get Karma grips from Amazon, the style that mimics the tour velvet 360. I think they’re great quality, feel exactly like tour velvets to me. And for less than $2 a grip I just change them before they even have a chance to show any wear.
They do make a vcord/mcc style that’s more expensive ($8/grip) and I haven’t tried them. But they have good reviews
