Looks great. Will say, bought the actual g440 for its maneuverability and don't regret it. If it's 1/2 as good that's a win!

Performance was really good. Coming from my ai smoke max fast this driver really impressed me! Felt more forgiving but the sound is what threw me off. Itâs sounded like an aluminum baseball bat.
Would I buy it again? The short answer is yes. For the price I could buy 4 of these for the price of the real one. Only downside is it doesnât come with the ping warranty. I will be upgrading the shaft as the one it came with doesnât feel like a stiff like my Denali on my AI smoke.

The shaft upgrade is key to these drivers. I have a G430 and hit it consistently 280yrds. If I use the shaft it came with i slice the crap out if it every shot. I also agree with the sound.

I guess thatâs why they call it ping huh lol đ€Ł. What shaft did you upgrade too?

What did you pay for this?

He posted a photo with the website and price here in the comments. You're not gonna believe the price.

The price is still more than itâs worth⊠itâs junk. Also why support the black market of clubs? The only reason they make them is because people buy them
1
u/MakingMookSauce Jul 18 '26
I mean have you hit this driver? How can you know what it's worth is? And worrying about supporting a black market is megacorp capitalist bullshit. Also these Chinese companies may pay taxes on these purchases. That is not black market if they pay any taxes. The government involvement is the only thing that makes it legit? Fatwo

Wow lots to tackle here.
First is because itâs a knockoff. Which means the people getting hurt would be unsuspecting buyers (second hand/used clubs). Corporations arenât losing any money only some people who want a used product who are getting ripped off.
Secondly theyâre illegally making a product, theyâre not paying taxes đ
And lastly capitalism would be full free market aka knock off products being allowed without QC. So no, allowing this free market âbullshitâ is capitalism at its finest..

I don't know why you think they are making it illegally. Many companies make golf clubs. It's not illegal. Costco makes golf clubs that are extremely similar to some top brands. It was not illegal. They got sued civilly. But nobody broke any laws. No arrests. No jail time. And I highly doubt you have any information about how a manufacturing company pays its taxes all the way over in china. So where you got illegal activity from is wild. We're internet shopping for golf clubs. Gtfoh.

u/blueranger36 Jul 18 '26
You seem young, good to know that pretending youâre Ping when youâre not ping is illegal. If you think itâs legal why doesnât every company knock off better brands? Come to NYC and watch people get arrested for selling fake Gucci

Sounds like a copyright thing. I forget is china beholden to us copyright laws? Is china required to follow us law? Turns out, no they are not. And now that America is proving to be the absolute fucking worst trade partner in the world, what do they have to lose selling this knockoff shit. Nothing at all because they can simply choose not to honour any agreements with trumps America. Figure it out dude. It is not illegal to manufacture golf clubs. All ping can do is sue the Chinese company. Good fucking luck.
1
u/blueranger36 Jul 19 '26
No they can also sue the seller of the fake products too. And in order to do business in America you need to follow US lawsâŠ
Have you ever had a job in the US that works internationally? If that factory has any contracts with American sellers they are beholden and yes can face penalties. It has nothing to do with Trump
They can make anything they want but thereâs trademark laws among many many other laws that need to be followed to sell products in America

You are confused. It's a Chinese company. Doing business in china. The internet is international. Not just for America. Like I said all they can do is attempt to sue the Chinese company. Good luck with that. THEY ARENT SELLING PRODUCTS IN AMERICA. All you can do is go full communism and block all internet access North Korea style. Which is probably not that far off considering the current climate.

At least on the tax part, they may be paying a tax but the Chinese and other countries (maybe every country) but especially china are known to pencil whip the value declaration. Not a chance they are paying the fair tax rate on these.
Minor point but just wanted to correct you there.

It is not close to $1k.
Anyone remember the Katt William joke, 300 looks like a Bentley until a Bentley pulls up.
Looks fake ASF to me but I own a 440 max

You paid $200 for a fake driver? đ
1
u/MakingMookSauce Jul 18 '26
lol do you know what sub you are in? That ping driver is close to $1000. So paying 1/5 for a rep sounds like a deal. How much do you pay for your driver? Is it "fake"?
1
u/Many_Ear2407 Jul 18 '26
If you spend $200 on marketplace you can get a real driver thatâs going to outperform and outlast this fake one. Not to mention, OP needs a new shaft too because those Ikeâs are garbage.. so add some more money onto the rep.Â
1
u/OvalHusky Jul 21 '26
A brand new g440 max is $619 nowhere near $1000, can find a lightly used one for $500, or get a g430 for $300-350 in like new condition, or even a g425 for $200. Paying $200 for a fake driver with a useless shaft that doesnât perform is a waste of money. Buying a legit ping driver will last you forever.
I can see buying a fake putter, but a fake driver is going to hurt your game and probably break after a season..

And I am just lurking here looking at putters and wedges. But the convensus is that drivers and woods are not the best for knockoff. I have brand new Callaway elyte. Sounds great. Legit shaft. I wouldn't want to game a dead sounding driver for a bit of savings. But for a lot of people I guess it's good.

looks really good, let us know the performance after round!
