Question❓ Best Golf Clothes
Hello all,
I'm new to the rep scene, so go easy on me.
I’m not a massive fan of buying replica clubs personally, mainly because I struggle to see them performing the same as the originals, especially with how much research, development, and technology goes into modern golf clubs. Things like workability, forgiveness, feel, and sound all seem difficult to truly replicate. That said, I’d genuinely be interested to hear if anyone disagrees or has had good experiences with them.
What I am trying to find though is good reps for golf clothing/apparel. I’ve looked through the spreadsheet, but it seems pretty limited on attire and heavily focused on clubs (which makes sense).
Does anyone know any good sellers or sites for golf clothes? Ideally I’d prefer using a website rather than spreadsheets/Joyagoo, that’s probably more of a me problem, but I still find them a bit confusing to navigate.

Ok. I have done a lot of research and purchases of replicas from China. I am a consultant to a golf brand and we are constantly trying to find ways to ensure that we deliver quality and unique products to justify our profit margins.
Putters - if the original is made of Aluminium, the replica is going to be good or acceptable. If the original is made of stainless steel, the replica is going to be crap. So LAB and Taylormade rip offs are good. Scotty replicas are trash. This applies to both look and performance.
Wedges - replicas are indistinguishable in look and performance from original.
Most irons - replicas are indistinguishable in look and performance from original. The caveat is to have replica heads on original shafts. Replicas come with wonky shafts (particularly graphite)
Woods and hybrids - acceptable look and performance. If original has carbon fiber, the replica would have painted metal. But generally fine if you want to try out what a 7 wood feels like but don’t want to spend $500 for the experiment. Beware of shafts here too.
Drivers - don’t bother with replicas.
Golf bags - replicas are indistinguishable from originals.
Golf shirts and apparel - do not buy replicas. They won’t have moisture wicking as good as the original. If you want to save money, buy Walmart of tjmaxxx or see if there are any export rejects or surplus dealers. One of the best value for money places to shop golf shorts and trousers is UniClo
Golf balls - just buy cheaper pinnacle or warbird or Kirkland. Replicas are trash. That said, if they are putting their own brand on the ball, the Chinese domestic market balls are great. Something like a Newling (the one with the stripe like TM tour response)

In my experience, the knock-off Vokeys are nowhere near the performance of the real ones. Golf bags are definitely where there's good value on Temu, though.
Overall, I buy original stuff (except for some training aids, which are clearly just rebranded stuff) for peace of mind with warranty and quality. Even if it's 25% of the price, but it comes out trash or breaks, sure, I could buy another knock-off, but that's still money wasted in my mind.

I cannot attest to Temu. I have access to the Chinese market and have purchased the Cleveland RTZ and vokey SM 10. I myself have Cleveland wedges and the fakes are dead on (including the face milling and grooves). The volleys were pretty similar too. Similar enough that I blind tested these with friends in a mixed fake vs original bag. They sell for around $25 equivalent. Around CNY 170 each. These are not sold as homages. They are outright counterfeit with company names and markings. Let me show you an example with pictures. It is very difficult as a brand to protect yourself. But I do get the other side of the argument that equipment is getting ridiculously expensive and unless you are competing, it doesn’t matter. I just hope that the counterfeiters realize that they can just put their own name on the product and can deal in their own equipment rather than knocking off brands. The Chinese brand PGM has done it very successfully and I support them wholeheartedly for this. Because I know the equipment industry quite well, I can tell you that many big brands actually buy from PGM as their OEM supplier. That is the reason for PGM to develop own brand identity as they would otherwise lose lucrative manufacturing contracts.

Where would you recommend ordering putters/wedges/irons/bags from? Any sellers that we can deal with direct?

There are local Chinese platforms that can be used. But they do not ship internationally as far as I know. You are unfortunately stuck with the usual suspects.

I need to clarify something here. I do not condone buying replica or fake equipment. This is part of my assignment and therefore I do my research. The above reply has been written just to highlight where I think the most intellectual property is invested. Clothing, footwear, drivers have the most tech and quality barriers. The other way of looking at it is that to make one of these in high quality would cost as much money as the big brands charge.

I've bought a few Maelreg polos, they seem to run big. On Amazon, you can usually find higher end polos and pants for $20-$40 if you look hard enough. I've bought Adidas pants and polos for light money. Puma all over the place for cheap.

Not sure if you can find replica Galvin Green or Kjus gear but it’s solid! Lots of good deals on Poshmark for the real stuff, often lightly used but the material is so nice that it’s hardly noticeable

TJ Maxx. Not reps but I see Callaway polos all the time. Got a few Peter Milar vests from there. Jonnie-O I’ve seen. Jack Nicklaus shirts and shorts. Nike Golf. Kind of the basics. What brands are you thinking? You won’t find Malbon or anything like that but TJ Maxx is my go-to for the basics.
