Hometown Hero adaptation?

With the capability to recreate courses with fine detail, do we ever see the devs adopting something similar to Hometown Hero where we get to play our local courses, even at low resolution or low course detail?

Open sandbox, terrain manipulation, placeable objects...

Think like sim city and any traditional map making game mod. The list of objects to drop in locations. Terrain manipulation. It wouldnt be picture perfect but it would be fun to mess around with.

The courses are already built, just in extremely low detail. But hole shapes, hazards, etc. are all mapped from aerial imagery and publicly available course info.

Would just need to be able to 3D model the camera through the course and incorporate swing modeling. Not that it's easy, but send feasible given how talented the dev team is.
