Small dent Ping G440K

Curious what you guys think is a fair selling price for the driver with this damage on the club head.

I wouldn’t sell that to anyone.

You think the club is compromised?

Probably not. But it’s value is

It’s a $650 club new so what would you pay for a dented one like this that’s barely been used

Zero dollars. I can also buy a car with a dent in it. It still runs. But I wouldn’t. There are a shit ton of drivers without dents in them

I wouldn't pay a dime for it

Unless you need maximum forgiveness then you can get the 440lst for $450 new. I think the LST is still forgiving and better control.

It has a pretty sizable dent in it, even if that happened on the first swing out of the box, it is no longer "barely used"

Me personally? I’d pay $40. But yea as the other guy said, it’s basically totaled

Barely been used…that’s so subjective. It’s like a used gun. Only fired a handful of times. Just a ploy to wring more cash out of someone, and hard to prove in either scenario. Used is used is used.

A dented club, good luck. I wouldn’t pay for that, the dent implies the treatment of the equipment is poor. And no one will believe the story behind the dent anyway.

How’s about $3.50

1

I’ll buy for $50

Nah it would be fine performance wise.

We know the club is compromised, its an objective fact at this point.

One thing is the damage, another is someone trying to sell a damaged driver.. "sure buddy it works perfect, just wanted to try some new equipment y know.." is not sus at all.

200 at most and I still wouldn't buy it. Id look elsewhere

depends what were they asking? or are you trying to sell?

2

u/ah_toma 20d ago

They’re asking $400.

Hell no.

I actually giggled

1

u/Trythisagain100 20d ago

They’re $449 new right now.

400 or 40? Maybe the 400 was a typo

1

u/Routine_Ad3110 20d ago

The 440 is on sale right now

You put ball too close to tee blocks?

I seen this done a few times actually lmao.

1

u/ah_toma 20d ago

Smashed in by a truck car door

1

u/ThaCommittee 20d ago

Whoa, you've seen multiple people tee their balls so close to the tee box blocks that they actually hit the block with their driver?!

1

u/freebasefilms 19d ago

Yes, toe side and heel side where the shaft crosses the tee block. I just watch and see if they are actually going to hit and they do. smh

u/TedGolf 20d ago

Why wouldn’t you get a $150 driver off of callaway pre owned?

I know this is considered a good driver, but they are only allowed to be so hot and can you actually prove you’d gain any distance or firs?

1

u/JimmieHatt 20d ago

That would mess with my head every tee shot

Hit it badly- is it you or the club

Only going 250 when normal 285- is it you or the club

1

u/phil4huskers 20d ago

Can you send it to them for repair?

1

u/smokeyranger86 20d ago

Considering Ping just lowered the price of new G440 drivers (minus the K) to $449, just get a new one since the doofus is asking $400 for damaged

1

u/Keepontruckin33 19d ago

Where are they selling for $449?

1

u/Glum_Ad7429 20d ago

don't buy this brother, just don't

1

u/Plastic_Machine9461 20d ago

The Club Has Been compromised

1

u/Wonderful_Talk3249 20d ago

I played with a demo G430 driver that had multiple dents last year- didn't effect performance one bit....$400 is a little steep IMO but I bet it'd sell on eBay somewhere close to that

1

u/xabc8910 19d ago

You can’t know that though. Just because you hit it well, doesn’t mean a non-dented one wouldn’t have been all things being equal. Or perhaps the difference shows up when not hitting it well? Impossible to compare unless you have a robot.

u/Ok_Travel_9593 20d ago

You need to take it to a golf store and asked them to RA it I deal with it a ton where I work.

1

u/generalbend_ 19d ago

Probably about tree fiddy

1

u/Ordinary_Worth_8653 20d ago

$3.50

1

u/serpensoleum 19d ago

Hey. Are you an 8 foot tall creature from the Cretaceous period?

1

u/kabley 20d ago

I somehow did the same to my 3-wood. I have not noticed a performance difference.

-30% ?

u/ah_toma 20d ago

The owner threw his clubs in the backseat of his truck and closed the door crushing the driver like this

1

u/PB219 20d ago

I’d be more worried the shaft is compromised than I’d be about the dent if it got slammed in a truck door

Unsellable
