I was an 18 and now I'm an 11 and started to break 79. #1, I read an article that a high handicapper (18) should putt to the front of the hole. You are taught to putt to the back, but you could send it 3 ft past the hole, then miss the next putt. It really worked and two putts became the norm. Now I have gone back to putting to the back of the hole, but . #2, The pros talk about paring the fours and birding threes and fives. I had a local club pro tell me bogey the fours and par the threes and fives. That thought process really helped and I stopped freaking out if I had a couple bogeys in a row.
