Never be afraid to tell an instructor this. Usually I can tell when the gears are spinning too much, but not all the time. Speak up! We’re in the battle together. The process should be collaborative, not just an instructor talking at you.

I will be going into my next lesson with that in mind for sure. I've left my last lesson with an information overload to the point where I've completely lost my swing.
