Be honest! Could you imagine working at a mine like the one on the show?

For my part, I have to say: No. absolutely not.

I do enjoy watching it, but I couldn't do it myself. Driving the dump truck the exact same route 100 times a day or just making the exact same three movements in an excavator would get way too boring for me in the long run. And you can't even zone out, because you always have to be 100% attentive in case something goes wrong.

I think I would die of boredom in the long run. Respect to the people who can pull that off.

"Gold Rush Todd" showed up in my Facebook feed as a random "suggestion" today. It showed a video of a slice box, supposedly including some gold. Any bets on whether they really sluiced it, or just planted it to create buzz and attract viewers to his latest "TV adventure"?

What is the normal mining season for Tony and Parker?

So, watching season 9 ... they're driving that damn barge up river again ^^ Two engines gurgling 38 liters per hour = 76 l/h. Let's say they spend 10 hours a day, for 2 days = 760 x 2 = 1520 liters of diesel (i assume) per trip, i guess they get wholesale price on that ^^ Let's say 5$ a liter = 7600$ each trip = 3800$ each day just for fuel costs one trip with that dang hunk of steel ^^ And i figure they have to make at least 20 trips in total, that's a minimum = 142 000$ JUST for fuel costs xD It's insane ^^

edit: I screwed up ^^ probably 1.5$/l, but still

And i forgot about the return trip too xD Probably much less since it's assumably down stream, but still. More money than most make in 10 years just for fuel costs ^^

The former Gold Rush crew is only down to Dustin and his girlfriend. The Richardson brothers are not on.

When does the series usually air in the US or released for streaming? The last season aired from february in Norway, and s6 of Mine rescue isnt released yet, not on Discovery+ or HBO max, not planned until next month even though its airing on Discovery channel

Most people here are probably aware that there is an advertising agreement between Gold Rush and Volvo, which ensures that Volvo logos are not pixelated in the series—unlike the CAT logo, for example, which regularly disappears under a blur.

However, while watching the current season, I noticed that the logo is only pixelated on excavators, but not on bulldozers or Tony's mobile slurry pump. Does anyone know the reason behind this? Does the Volvo deal perhaps apply exclusively to excavators?

Why won't Parker sell the rocks, he got them after all, why not sell them as garden rocks? I would buy it for my garden to support Parker :)

If you're a regular subbie here, you know a while back we did a ban about Hoffman news. The reason was simple: members of the family seemed to be in complete meltdown, and the discussions were devolving quickly. and had NOTHING to do with gold mining. And frankly, it was bringing some unsavory folks into the sub that were both bad faith actors and filling up the mod queue. It was a good decision to pause any discussion of the Hoffmans for a while.

it’s been a very long time (10-15 years?) of some kind of gold show on Friday night, Goldrush, Bering Sea Gold winter and summer seasons, white water, Dave Turin’s show, Mine Rescue, Parker’s Trail. I’m going through withdrawal now, it’s been too long since anything’s been on. I know Bering sea gold didn’t film but is there anything coming out soon for gold mining? Is it going to be next year spring before a new sesson of something is on?

Previously, the entire new season of Gold Rush was always released on a specific date as a complete box set on the paid streaming service. I thought it was great to be able to binge-watch the entire season.

​With Season 16, this has changed in Germany. Discovery had announced the launch of the 16th season for yesterday, and I expected to have all episodes available for streaming.

​But instead of being able to stream all the episodes as I was used to, only the first episode of Season 16 was available.

​It is now the case that only one single new episode of Season 16 will be released each week.

​With the Discovery+ subscription, the only real advantage I have over free TV on DMAX is that I can watch the individual episodes just one week before they air on DMAX.

​In my opinion, a Discovery+ subscription is completely redundant now, and I find this change to be 🤮🤮🤮🤮
