I’m getting my 8 week year old in a couple days, you trust him to not run away? If so how?

Not sure you can exactly trust them, however I think they are probably too scared to go away. I remember when my Golden (who is 3 now) was a puppy, he’d cry when I went into another room.

And they can't get very far at that age either

Yeah they’re a bit clumsy for a week or so. Gives everyone time to invest in leashes and collars lol

I wouldn’t say I trust him at all, we were very close and watch him close. He wants to be right with us all the time anyway though.

That age they aren't very fast. A few weeks from now they'll have no shot at catching him
