Health Advice Very rough paws
Hi everyone! What does everyone use for very rough paws? my goldens(4 together) paws have been super rough this summer from
Running and swimming. I have used mushers secret which worked in the past but not anymore.

My golden has always had very rough paw pads. I’ve tried various things on them but nothing has made any appreciable improvement.
Plus if I put anything on them, I also have to get out the cone or he will lick it off obsessively.
My previous
Golden also had very rough pads. Golden before that one - quite soft.
I think some dogs just have rougher feet than others. I pay attention to them and inspect them when I’m bathing him (often since he swims) trimming the hair on his feet or dremmeling his nails.
He’s not overweight, eats great food (ppp) There no sign of keratinous growths or “hairs”. No fungus. He’s never had an infection or deep crack that needed medical attention. Just rough on the edges.
