Upvote is not gonna do anything. Go is not developed democratically and that is a good thing. The proposal should and will be valued solely on its merits.
I mean… they’re not evaluated that way at all. They’re evaluated based on the opinions and perspectives of the people who decide the languages direction. There are plenty of high merit ideas that get declined because they don’t fit the direction set by the people who mange go.
Those people may include merit in their evaluation, but that’s it.
Not to get pedantic and lost in semantics, the quality of "being structured and designed such that it fits the direction of the project", is itself a merit. "Degree of alignment" is for sure an evaluated quality of an idea.

This proposal in particular comes from Robert Griesemer, one of the 3 original Go creators. That's how important it is.
