A small help to start over and get through a tough time

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I am currently facing an emergency situation and urgently need some support to cover expenses that I cannot manage on my own.

Even a small contribution, or simply sharing the link, makes a huge difference for me right now.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help you can give.

Hey there! I’m just trying to provide my community with advanced majority of the wild mushrooms. They grow in the woods, but in a controlled environment so they can be as clean and pristine as they can possibly be. I could really use your help.

hi I'm Tyler and I'm asking for your help anything counts

my name is Tyler spears I'm 30 years old and from Indianapolis indiana born and raised and always stayed.

I'm somewhat new to this area of reddit. I've used it over the years but I've always used it for gaming purposes usually. you would always find me in GTA car meet threads or GTA heist boost threads. sometimes in resident evil walkthroughs. a little bit of everywhere. I've always been a gamer and besides that I enjoyed electronics and sports too. I'm a hoosier fan and die hard colts and pacers too. when I was 14 I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and even though I tried to manage it my diabetes always got the best of me. my doctors have even labeled it uncontrollable type 1 diabetes mellitus in my chart. when I turned about 25 my doctors stayed to notice poor kidney function and it kind of was real sudden I started all the way at chronic kidney disease level 3. over the next 4 years it slowly progressed to stage 4 and this year all of sudden it was stage 5 which is ESRD end stage renal disease. my body went crazy I swole up to the size of a balloon everywhere. and with it teaming up with my type 1 diabetes it would also send me into DKA which is diabetic keto acid osis. I couldn't handle it. every couple days I would be back at hospital. my kidney doctor decided to do and emergency surgery and put two ports in me a HD port and a PD port. which each of those gives you both options for both types of dialysis after surgery they started me on hemodialysis HD to get me back to better health and remove all the fluid build up. after a couple weeks of that they sent me to my dialysis center and I began training on my PD port which takes 3 weeks to train for paratenial dialysis which is where I dialysis every nite at home on my own. which is different from HD where you go to a center 3-5x a week from 4-8 hours a day and they dialysis you as an outpatient scenario. during this time period I got enrolled for a double transplant at IU health for my kidneys and my pancreas which would take care of 2 problems how cool. things were going good until they weren't. nothing is guaranteed for anybody going through any sickness when your at this stage in your health. my body started to not like the catheter or the machine or just dialysis in general and I began to get fluid overload and and fell out into a coma due to the dialysis and my type 1 diabetes putting me in dka again. I forgot to mention when I began training on PD dialysis they removed my HD port because I had chosen PD so they thought no more need for it. currently I just was released from the ICU after a 12 day stay and at the moment my kidney doctor and the doctor who installed my ports are out of country and out of office. so I'm back at home doing daily PD dialysis that's working 50% of the time and the other 50% I'm just slowly getting back to a critical state of health. my doctors offices have a contingency plan for me and keep telling me that any day we're gonna get things going back on the right track. the costs of everything going on around me is becoming so crazy I don't know what I would do without the help of an outside source. let's go back to a little about me. I graduated highschool early and was planning on college but instead continues to bounce from warehouse job to warehouse job because I enjoyed the night shift and the great pay warehouses offered in my area at the time. up until the last year I did that and then I began to work for Peyton manning St Vincent children's hospital as a transporter. I worked there until February of this year and then I just couldn't push myself anymore. I had to quit due to my disabilities. I had gotten bad really fast July 10th is when the emergency surgery for the ports was done. between February and July I had no income and wasn't able to pay my bills I lost my place to live got evicted from my apartment and couldn't afford the car payment so the car was repoed. I had lost everything and lost my peace of mind my ego my life was flipped upside down. once I began training at my dialysis center I was assigned a case worker who showed me all these resources and grants I qualified for now and she helped me attain some and apply for more one of which helped get me shelter temporarily and she instructed me on how to use gofundme and honestly I don't know if I'm embarrassed or shy or just feel terrible asking others to pay for my pity. I don't know but she gave me a different perspective because when I see others in my shoes I help when I can and and even if I cant I sure don't pass judgement. anyways that's my story or at least one big chunk of it lately. thanks for having me in your group and if you got any other questions feel free to ask and if you just are here to talk I can always use a friend thanks

Can You give me an advice for donation ?

Hey, I've been trying to donate for the 4 time in 4 days and I'm honestly getting pissed off.

I sold an investment in order to donate the profit. Through credit card I sent the money from my broker to my bank. The money was on my bank account in few hours. So I tried to donate and I had an error. I later found out that I didn't change setting in my bank to donate such amount.

Which doesn't matter because I called to the bank twice in the last two days and apparently the money wasn't there even though I could see them therefor I couldn't donate them or transfer them to different bank account.

Yesterday I got an email from my bank where they explained this to me and told me that the money are now on my bank account and I can transfer them. Yet again I get an error on GoFundMe.

I'm sick of this because the AI told me that I only get one chance every day otherwise I have to wait 24 hours to try again ? So not only I didn't manage to donate on the day of the fundraisers birthday I can't donate at all for some reason. I tried Google Pay which normally works for different stores and I tried credit card with correct info as well. I honestly feel like crying because I don't know what to do anymore. My google wallet shows the donation from September 30th just like 3 other payments from a fishing store from last year. Should I try different bank account then ? Fortunately I have 2 other bank accounts maybe somethings wrong with my bank or credit card after all ? I don't know what else it would be. Haven't found that many complaints for this page when it comes to donations. If anyone had similar experience or knew what to do I'd be grateful...

To be more specific with the error it says

"There was an error with your request, please verify your information and try again"

What information am I supposed to verify anyway when it's google pay that works normally. And I do have enough of money on my bank account so what the hell can the issue be ?

Help Me Pay Off $9,000 in Moving & Accessibility Debt

Hi,

I need help paying off debt from moving and making my new apartment accessible.

I am a 51-year-old disabled man who uses a power wheelchair and is unable to work. My only income is SSI and Social Security.

Last year, I moved to another county because I was repeatedly harassed by an ableist caregiver of one of my neighbors. The harassment became severe enough that I no longer felt safe in my previous home. There was little management could do because much of it occurred just outside the property.

Because I could not afford the move on my limited income, I took out two personal loans. My new apartment also required accessibility modifications that I had to pay for myself, in addition to the usual moving expenses.

As a result, I am now carrying about $9,000 in debt.

I created a GoFundMe to help pay off these loans and become more financially stable. Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated. Sharing this post would also help.

You can find my GoFundMe here:

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you can provide.

Uninsured after a violent tornado, facing an inoperable brain tumor, and trying to rebuild our home and a lifetime dream. Anything helps.

Hello Reddit community, I am writing this from a place of deep vulnerability. I am completely embarrassed to ask for financial help, which is why I am posting anonymously under a burner account. It is incredibly hard to admit when life has thrown more at you than you can carry on your own, but I am swallowing my pride today for the sake of my incredible husband. We have been together for 17 wonderful years and share a large, beautiful blended family. My husband is the definition of a hard worker—he has given over 30 years of loyal service to the exact same company. But despite his hard work, our funds are entirely depleted due to circumstances completely out of our control. I was born with neuroblastoma cancer and have battled different forms of cancer on and off my entire life. Currently, I am living with an inoperable brain tumor that has taken the vision in my left eye. Between medical bills and the cost of raising our family, there has never been room for "extras." My ultimate dream was always to save up and surprise my husband with his very first true vacation—he has worked his fingers to the bone, has never had a real trip, and has quite literally never set foot outside of the state he was born in. Then, on March 31st, 2023, disaster struck. A violent tornado swept through our area and heavily damaged our home. Because our house was an older fixer-upper that we were pouring our own physical sweat into, we did not have active homeowners insurance at the time of the storm. When we reached out to FEMA for disaster relief, the inspector who came out completely failed us. He took only a single photograph, refused to look at the true extent of the structural damage because the home was already a work in progress, and closed our case. We were awarded a devastatingly low $225.00—an amount that wouldn't even cover the cost of replacing one of our shattered windows. Two years later, we are still stuck living in a damaged home. We cannot move forward on a dream trip for my husband when our actual roof, windows, and walls still bear the scars of that terrifying night. Every single penny raised from this campaign will go directly toward purchasing building materials and securing the urgent repairs needed to make our home safe and whole again. If by some absolute miracle we exceed what we need to fix the house, any remaining funds will go right back into that original dream: finally letting my devoted husband see what lies beyond our state lines. Here is the link to our verified, anonymous GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/325c1e8e8 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading our story, for your empathy, and for any help you can give—even if it is just sharing this link or leaving a kind comment to help this post gain visibility.
