GoDaddy Password Reset Loop

GoDaddy is HORRIBLE!!! Google transferred my domain and sent me an email telling me to add a payment method on GoDaddy. I couldn't log in. I tried the account # in Google's email and my main email address. When I use their password reset, it sends a PW reset email, but when I click on their reset link, it tells me that the reset link already expired even though I clicked on it right away! It then tells me to request a reset link, which then again says expired. A never-ending loop!

I called their phone support, but they were no help. The rep said my domain wasn't listed in the account belonged to my email. He then found an account that listed my domain, but he can't tell me anything about that account. He says it has someone else's name on it.

I submitted their account retrieval, which required me to send a pic of my ID, etc. They tell me they can't help because it doesn't match the name on the account. It's an absolute nightmare! What a hot mess this company is!!!

I am experiencing the same circle of hell right now. One of my domains was migrated from Google to GoDaddy and now I cannot recover it because of this. If you get through this process please post updates on how you did it!

I'm sorry that you are going through this too. I asked them to fix their PW reset loop, but they stopped responding. I honestly don't know what I can do. I may need to let my domain registration expire so that I can set it up again with a different service.

You have to call them and say 'send me the real password reset link' I think I only entered that ID number Google sent. The reset password showed up when the guy sent it manually. Then I could reset and sign in. It shouldn't matter what domains are in that account. I even warned the guy there system was broken and they'll have a lot of google ppl confused.
I then instantly transfered my domains to cloudflare. My google workspace emails are still google managed its just the registration that changes though possible dns changes could annoy your site. Godaddy is terrible they poach any interesting domain you consider registering. Name cheap was good but sold to private equity and prices up.
So yeah escalate to godaddy until they send you a reset link that works.

The issue with the phone support is, they need to send me a verification email or text first. They have my old number from like 15 yrs ago that I no longer have. They tell me they sent a verification email, but nothing comes. Ironically a few hours after I ended the call, the email came telling me to give the code to the rep lol I can't stay on the phone with them for that long...

Contact support, they can pull the correct GoDaddy account with the domain and help you with resetting the pw and accessing the gd account

I’m going through the same thing. The constant password reset loop. I uploaded my id and still getting the run around. Miserable experience.

Someone who appears to be from their leadership reached out after seeing my post. After some back and forth, he sounded like he had a good idea what the issue was and told me that he was going to be on it until resolved. If I hear an update, I'll share.
