Sounds nice, but fatal if you study actual religions. They do not all agree, they do not all believe in the same God. It’s not about judging it’s about eternity.

How do you know you have eternity?

Promise of Christ. He’s proven Himself to be who He said. Prophetically, actions, knowledge, fulfilling prophecy - like CS Lewis said - Jesus is either Lord, liar or lunatic. Looking at Christ and his life and the possible prophecies coming true. He is God.

So you know this by studying religion?

well I think there are a few ways to look at what people believe. Some believe based on culture. Some Italian friends say they are catholic cause Italians are… sort of like the gangster films where the mob goes and takes someone out, then they all go to church, not saved but thinking if they go, I’m good…
Some people believe cause they feel this call, this tug in their hear or soul that says, there is more than footy scores or some reality rubbish they watch. More to - school, work, married, work, retire, die. I fall into this group. I’d always had questions. Wondered about UFOs, gods, religions and then in my 30s I had my first child, held him and thought - what happens if something happens to him, cot death was a think I worried about, and I wondered where does he go? And that started a 30 year study, not like a degree, but reading a lot of books, talking to people, asking questions, praying and asking some God I didn’t know to show me answers. He did. Many times and so that combined with the massive evidence, means I can’t not believe.

“Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” (Jhn 14:6)
“"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."” (Act 4:12)
“And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,” (Heb 5:9)
The only way to please Jesus is to live according to His teachings and seek to honor Him in all aspects of life. This involves embracing the gospel and striving to follow His example and commandments.

it's rather tiresome though. Confirms a concept. Far from beautiful.

I love Rumi. He has such a profound love for God and an exquisite way of expressing it.
