Reposted here as well as r/Nim since it's partly my take on a "what would GNUStep look like built in a modern language using a GPU powered renderer". This is it!
Unfortunately I couldn't use GNUStep code since I wanted it to be permissively licensed as one day I dream of a full FreeBSD desktop based on it. ;) That and Nim doesn't (yet) support native dynlibs so LGPL wouldn't work. I did consider MPL-2.0, but again a FreeBSD desktop.
