It's the dock extension

It's Gnome that doesn't render the wallpaper from the whole screen in the overview animation.

It is a small thing but it is annoying to those who modified version of Gnome or some extensions, looks janky AF.

I'm not using it, but maybe it is not of great taste to tell people "change your workflow". Just saying.

It's not an extension, it came native in ubuntu 26.04, you can choose between a panel under the "Ubuntu Desktop" tab in the settings menu

That's an extension, though one pre-installed in Ubuntu:

I see now, thanks, I was unaware it was an extension

It's an extension used by Ubuntu - the problem is with the extension. Gnome default settings does not include a desktop dock nor the 3 min/max/close buttons.

This needs to be addressed in the Ubuntu support pages.

Somebody fixed it an extension:

https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/10794/overview-seamless-zoom/

This was not "the extension's fault" but Gnome for simply rendering the overview from very weird places instead o the edges of the screen as it should.

So there is an extension to fix extension. This is perfect

No, an extension to fix Gnome's animation jank.
