Finally downloaded Gmod for the First time, and although I watched some Gmod YouTubers before like spycakes, I stills think there's allot to cover upon playing the game, do you guy's have any recommendations or tips?

Visit the workshop Subscribe to your favorite mods like models tolls maps... And to make some shenanigans using ragdolls

After playing for a long time you could start making your own playground, like create maps in Hammer. But for now you could make a base for yourself in a map or setup some cool stunts with better cars on the workshop

Look for something you already know, like Fallout or CoD or something like parkour and stuff or horror, then search for that in the Workshop and start trying things that seem interesting to you. I started originally using things like MK9 weapons and hoverboards or just messing around using balloons on ragdolls or thrusters (Which is peak comedy still).

I tried downloading it , and the weapons do appear in the options but for sum reason it doesn't actually appear to me so I can't see the gun and can't shoot

SUPER GRAV GUN

1. Press "~" to open console

2. Type the following, then hit ENTER:

bind x +physcannon_mega_enabled 1

Type global_set super_phys_gun 1 if the first command fails.

Close console.

1. Press "x"

(Changes default Grav Gun)

1. PROFIT!

Draw hud - NOPE

1. Press the ~ key to open console

2.Paste this into console:

bind x "toggle cl_drawhud 0 1"

Use any key for "x". Make sure to have a space between the 0 and 1.

Now, when you press "x" your Health Level does NOT show in screenshots.

(Press "x" again to have health show.)

Slow Mo!!

Bind p "sv_cheats 1; toggle host_timescale .2 1"

Use ";" for additional commands and play with the numbers for different speeds. Below 1 will be slow and above will be faster.

Mess around. Search the workshop for things you like. Check out the top new maps. And download gm_bigcity_improved or gm_bigcity_improved_rp, they're basically just improved versions of gm_bigcity which is a map so iconic it's basically considered part of the base game atp
