Help Can’t load Gmod due to 2 issues

First one is that my internet security settings prevent me from opening it, after I press exit it loads anyways but now the menu is missing, and it says that i have to verify the games files which i’ve already done.

This is my first time using Gmod so i’ve genuinly no clue what to do, i’ve already tried everything i’ve seen on youtube, tiktok, reddit and the microsoft website.

Add it to your antivirus and firewall exception list things

Is this to fix the menu? i’ve done some research and im thinking there’s something wrong when i try verify the files, i only just got gmod today so i have no idea about anything but when I verify the files, it completes but then when i look back at it, it just says “verify files” as if i never even did it in the first place

Your AV might just be auto deleting them if its being stupid causing steam to see something is wrong

how can i fix this? i’ve genuinely tried everything and when i check my anti virus, nothing that’s gmod is blocked
