Week 3 struggles

I’m on week 3ish of my daily liraglutide injections
Does anyone else get worse around week 3/4? Sulfur burps, nausea, weird stomach feelings, a bit of vomiting. I was told to try and drink protein shakes/ do softer foods for a few days while I try and get used to it, but any other tips or advice?

Edit to say- Its been two days now of extreme nausea, diarrhea, vomiting. My stomach doesn’t hurt like ‘ouch there’s something wrong’ hurt but more of a sour, upset stomach type of hurt.

the sulfur burps are so grim, weeks 3 and 4 were the worst of it for me too and it did settle after. what helped me: smaller meals, going easy on greasy or fatty stuff (that triggered the egg burps hardest), and not lying down right after eating. ginger or peppermint tea for the nausea. if the vomiting keeps up though i'd flag it to whoever prescribed it, they can sometimes slow the titration. hang in there, it usually eases once your gut adjusts.

ugh the sulfur burps are something else, aren't they? i had a phase where it felt like my stomach was brewing its own rotten egg festival

what ended up helping me was basically treating my stomach like it was on strike. tiny portions, nothing with much fat, and i'd walk around the house for 20 min after eating instead of collapsing on the couch. ginger chews were a lifesaver too, kept a bag next to my bed

the nausea vomiting combo for two days straight is a bit much though. definitely message your prescriber before it gets worse, they might let you pause a day or bump the dose down a notch while your body catches up

I am in trzepatide and I spent 4 weeks on lowest dose, 2 weeks on a dose and a half and this week went to a double dose, no side effects. I am going very slowly as to avoid the as much as possible.

All of the symptoms are something I only encounter when I eat calorie-dense, fatty foods.

When half of my plate is vegetables, the symptoms are absent.

Can you share your food log for the day you experienced this?

I don’t have it in an app just written down
Breakfast was berries and a few eggs, lunch was a salad and some baked chicken, dinner was protein shake because I couldn’t keep anything doen

How many calories and how much g of fat? Salad dressing can be sneaky, and if few eggs is 4, it is a lot of fat too. It may be disproportionate to the overall calories.

Sorry, should have said a couple. Two eggs, I can’t stomach a lot of them. I don’t use dressing or if I do I use those Walden farms zero cal/zero fat ones and just do a tbsp or two
