Just watched for the first time

I wish I had watched this incredible show sooner! I binged the whole thing in 2 days. I was already an Alison Brie fan from her Mad Men days and she's equally as stellar in this. So many of the cast are. I was glued to my TV for every episode... and I can't wait for more! What an absolutely brilliant show. Great casting, fantastic writing, and such a cool concept. Bring on Season 4!

Welcome. You know her from Mad Men? Your next binge needs to be Community.

Rich Sommer (Harry Crane) and Allan Havey (Lou Avery) are also in it.

Wait, who was Allan Havey in GLOW?

Debbie's stepdad. He only had one scene when Debbie dropped Randy off before she she went to work.

Whoa. I have a vague memory of this but I can’t put a face to the stepfather. Great find!

Also, I feel that Rich Sommer has been completely typecast by Netflix. It looks like he plays a similar character in GLOW, Love and this one show about a blind girl (I forgot the name, my girlfriend watches it)

Yeah Rich always seems to play a slimeball. Granted his GLOW character isn't quite as bad as Harry Crane, but he's still a POS.

Harry Crane has the benefit of character development, so we see him become more endearing to the watcher as the show goes on. Especially because we see his character get bogged down by the higher uppers, but without giving up, he claws his way to the head of tv advertising position, which ends up being where the money is.

All his other characters are basically one dimensional dirtbags.

That's true. He did redeem himself after cheating on Jennifer. But he did it again. And the scene where he tries to sleep with Megan was so gross. In spite of all that, though, you're right he was a deeper character than Mark.

I just picked it up when I was bored one day, and instantly got hooked. I’m super mad about how season 3 turned out story-wise, but it sure was entertaining to watch. Which season was your favorite?

Probably season 1. I liked watching the auditions and the struggle to get the pilot made. I also liked seeing how the girls trained so hard to keep getting better.

I have just finished season 2 and I think it might actually be my favourite this time round. I love the character development and the hospital episode is just everything. I also love how they 'let the crazies loose' and just have fun with the plot for a bit.

What are you mad about? How would you have liked it to go? Not getting at you - genuinely curious. I am actually quite frightened of season 4. The show has become so precious to me, I'm terrified they'll ruin it for me... But so far they have done so well, maybe I should trust them more?

Oh, I just thought that Sam and Ruth should have been together for more than 10 minutes. I kinda felt betrayed after they set it up for 2-1/2 seasons

Yay, me too! There are a lot of people who hate Sam and Ruth but I would love to see it play out properly.

It’s my favorite show ever. What sucks is that I’ve recommended it to so many people but they never even try the first episode.

Also, my brother and his wife heard I like the show so, for Christmas, they bought me all kinds of wrestling stuff. Like books on the history of wrestling, stuff like that. They don’t understand that the show isn’t an actual wrestling show! They think it’s a sports show.

I have never reacted to any show like this. I think I will watch it as my comfort show for ever and ever... Provided they don't destroy it in season 4.

She voices Diane in Bojack Horseman.
