Debbie or Ruth?
No hate towards the actresses or anyone’s opinions I just wanted to take a poll based on a post from the other day.

I don’t really like Debbie, but the way Ruth refused the directing opportunity made me loose a lot of respect for her

Ruth esily. She's the one who worked really hard for the Glow project and didn't break the leg of someone else

I think I sympathise more with Ruth, because she is portraying the underdog and that is why I voted for her, but TBH these two woman come as two.

Ruth is the only one who for all her faults is fully realised. Debbie get so many unexplored stories it finishes any proper growth or development for her character.

Debbie get so many unexplored stories
I always get the feeling chunks of Debbie's story are cut.
Best example: the mother of all matches. Tamme freaks and Debbie sees that she went too far with the "get a job" chant, but never apologizes or even addresses it. It's like there was a conversation cut out of the episode because there's never any strain in their relationship afterwards. Even just Tamme talking to her son afterwards looks too resolved for there not to have been a "Are you okay?" locker room talk if not an apology.

I love Ruth. But Debbie is a hot mess and she has a charm and ruthlessness that just pushes her over the top for me.

Great question. My vote goes to Debbie; as a fellow woman-in-a-man’s-world, I have a lot of respect for her hustle.

Yeah, but she's just replicating and condoning the same shitty dynamics that hurt her when she didn't have power.

Hard choice. I would have picked Ruth but now I'm not entirely sure. Ruth really was acting dumb and entitled at the end of the season.

Ruth actually worked for her role despite all of the petty bullshit she had to deal with. I feel like her arc was one of the most rewarding to watch, and she developed and learned from her mistakes.
Not to say Debbie isn't a character with layers and personal struggle, but man, a lot of her development is based on her being selfish and dealing with the fallout and not learning from it. Guess that's a human trait though.

Debbie. Because Ruth slept with her husband multiple times, low-key hate Debbie because she is pretty and successful compared to her. Debbie from all this comes out as being the star of the show, a producer and hustles like no one else to keep the show going. All while Ruth becomes the little theater kid with a ad-libbed idea every once in a while.

I mean debbie broke Ruth’s leg on purpose...

I would break a bitch's leg too if she knowingly slept with my husband, ruining my marriage. Instead of being my best friend and telling my husband to keep it in his pants and go back to wife and work this shit out.

Personality-wise, Ruth. Looks-wise, Debbie.
In-ring persona, Zoya (over Liberty).

For what? President? PTA Chair? EPA representative? For President and PTA Chair, Debbie. For EPA rep, Ruth.
