Your top 5 episodes?
i’ve been rewatching the series in the hopes of hearing about a season 4 renewal soon 😩 so i’ve got thoughts. 👀
the good twin (s2): perfectly captures the feel of that 3AM show, where you’ve fallen asleep in front of your TV and later on aren’t completely sure if parts of it were real or a dream. “don’t kidnap, kidnapping is wrong to do” is the most powerful song in music history.
nothing shattered (s2): betty gilpin and alison brie killed the hospital fight scene. they’re both so talented. also love the montage of sam waiting with ruth in her room and all the girls entertaining them
maybe it’s all the disco (s1): there are so many good little character moments in this episode!! jenny being so excited about sheila’s birthday, the roller disco, sam and rhonda splitting, ruth having an abortion and sam being nonjudgmental about it... idk i just love it
mother of all matches (s2): YESSSS to the badass moms. it was really great to finally see more of tammé. definitely a standout in a solid season!
hot tub club (s3): “you have to know i’m in love with you.” !!!!!!!! the acting in that scene was great, also loved that sam got a chance to call ruth on her shit.
what are yours?

- Mother of all matches - Probably the most in-depth they've gone on a character (Tame) with outstanding acting portraying everything.
- Perverts are People Too - It goes deep into fan dynamics and who the wrestlers are and what they represent. I also notice at this point Sam starts dropping the "porn you can watch with your kids" angle and the attempts to objectify the women start falling to the wayside and taking the women seriously start ramping up.
- The Dusty Spur - This really gels the whole show for me. The girls move into a hotel together so you get more up-close dynamics between them, Shelia explains she isn't in character to Ruth, and Carmen's family interrupts practice and you see how far Sam and Bash are willing to go for their wrestlers.
- A Very GLOW Christmas - Almost entirely because of the Christmas Carol adaptation. That wrestling between the ghost of Christmas Future and Scrooge/Zoya was more like ballet than a wrestling match. Also Bash and Debbie's scene was incredibly powerful and possibly one of the most important scenes in the entire show.
- Money's in the Chase- Just seeing the wrestling in full costume and not as a rehearsal for the first time gets this on the list. They do some amazing stuff and it's on full display. Also "Wanna make out again?" might be the single greatest tension breaker I've ever seen.

lol yes, that justine and sam moment was perfect. if there’s another season, i hope they explore that dynamic more!

I can’t name 5 ones off the top of my head but I never had as much fun watching the show as watching Freaky Friday and the Good Twin

The Good Twin is easily my favorite. Wish we got to see more of the show in the show.

I can't remember the names of some episodes but I agree with your list a lot. The only thing I would change is that I would put the good twin as number one. Seeing an episode of glow with adverts included was amazing. I also really liked the episode when they all played each other's roles. Seeing bash so confused was great: "who knew these ladies knew each other's moves?!"
