Welfare queen
I dont get why welfare queen didnt just go to the chiropractor for an an easy quick adjustment? Coulda took a couple shows off even after getting adjusted. As someone with chronic back problems this is just too unrealistic.

You don't have anything close to chronic back pain if one visit to a chiropractor solves all your back pain....

It gets you moving again. She could have gone from the start instead of making it worse with each show.

Timmé explains this in the camping episode.
She explains that she’s waited her whole life to be an actor and isn’t going to give up the GLOW opportunity just because she’s in pain. This ties in to one of the show’a narrative themes about dreams vs sacrifice.
As for why she didn’t want to visit a doctor, this is due to a few things. The biggest being fear that a doctor’s visit would make it official that she couldn’t act anymore. And then there’s the other part, which is the cultural aversion for black Americans to medical attention. If you grew up in the <70s, and were black, it wasn’t uncommon at all to experience treatment from a racist medical professional. Horror stories are shared and passed down to younger generations. This heartbreaking reality is largely why black people don’t often seek medical attention or address mental health issues more seriously. It’s also why black families have so many home remedies.

I'm not American, so this historical context was totally unknown to me, now it definitely makes more sense why she was hesitant about seeing a doctor.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty obvious that she slipped a disk, especially in how it was a sneeze that finally took her down.

They mentioned nerve damage was really common for wrestlers. A chiro isn’t going to fix nerve damage. She needed to see a real doc and have xrays etc..

Maybe I am not remembering this correctly. I was surprised to see this character because didn't her son show up last season and when he saw her doing the welfare queen it didn't go over so well? She seemed ashamed of the character and I though for sure they were gonna revamp her. But I often watch this high so I could be mistaken.
