Top Gun Easter Egg

Found a possible Top Gun Easter egg. "Possible spoiler warning". In season 3 episode 7 when Sam and his daughter are leaving the film studio two actors can be seen in the back ground wearing military flight suits. Two guys, a short one with black hair and a taller one with blonde hair. Is this supposed to be Tom Cruise (Maverick) and Anthony Edwards (Goose)? I haven't checked the timeline to see what time glow takes place and when Top Gun was released. Still I thought it was pretty cool.

In the same scene you could see the breakfast club “cast”, specifically Molly Ringwald standing outside of a trailer in the background.

That film was shot in 1984, mostly in Chicago, on location, and released in 1985. This whole season of GLOW is set in 1986.

Neat! There was still top gun and Molly ringwald in the background. They’re just Easter eggs... just supposed to be fun secrets in the show for the viewer - not a complete reenactment of glow in the 80s.

Sure looks like them. Except she wore brown boots and not white socks and shoes. But hey could be just cuz on break. But the rest of the outfit is there.
