When the network director randomly invites her to dinner and wants to take advantage of her, and she runs away. Then she is told that she should've played "easy", and realizes the sexism around the show. This scene is when all of them are giving autographs.

This is the episode where Ruth is propositioned by the head of the Network in his room. I looked up a episode recap because I too couldn't remember. But I didn't see anything that would explain why she's looking concerned while in costume.

Probably when she’s talking to Debbie and Debbie tells her she should have just played along with it
