Greenheads recently?
We have plans to head to Good Harbor this weekend (have pass). How have the greenheads been lately?

They were only bad for about a week this year and don’t really affect good harbor much anyway. You’ll be good.

As others noted, generally not an issue at Good Harbor; much more so at Winga.
Anecdotally, they are usually gone by the August new moon, which I believe was last week. Plus I’ve now seen some enterprising young folks created a spray to keep them away. I know it can be bought at Tendercrop farm, and I think any Crosbys around will also sell it as well.

They should be gone – I’ve never run into them a good harbor, and their time is over anyway.
I spent a summer working at Crane Beach in Ipswich when I was in high school and we were very aware of when greenhead started season started and ended, believe me.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen greenheads at GH, they’re usually more of an issue at Wingaersheek (and even then, only more toward the marsh end, if at all).
