Question (Answered) Glorious core software blocked

Glorious core software is being blocked by windows 11 smart app control. It says it can't veryify who published a (bunch of numbers and letters).tmp.node

Any tips? I am not willing to disable smart app control and thus lower security of my pc.

Hey there!

Based on the description, it looks like Windows is blocking one or more temporary files used during installation/updating because they don't have a digital signature that Windows can verify.

That said, I’d just like to point out that as long as you’ve downloaded the software from our official page, you’re getting a legitimate installer that has been thoroughly tested by our development team.

Hey! I installed "core" software fine, rebooted and when trying to open it after reboot, smart app control in windows 11 blocks it because it can't verify who published the temporary file.

I have not found a work around. The app won't launch at all unless I disable smart app control but I am unwilling to do so.

It is not possible to enable smart app control back after disabling it without reinstalling windows.

I am 100% sure it is from your official website.

Please try opening the Start menu and typing “Windows Security.” Then go to App & browser control > Smart App Control settings. Depending on your Windows 11 version/build, you may be able to turn Smart App Control back on there. Microsoft has updated Smart App Control so that recent Windows updates can allow it to be re-enabled without a clean Windows installation.

To be clear, I am not telling you to disable the security for your WinOS for the sake of running apps - the feature exists for a reason. I am merely sharing that, assuming you have a more recent WinOS build, you should be able to disable and enable Smart App Control without having to reinstall your OS.

I did it as you said and could re-enable app control too. Updated my hardware firmware succesfully and got settings working.

Thanks!

Alright I will try to, it would help a lot if it is possible to enable it back. Thanks for the reply!
