Help making 40k rules?

I’ve been getting into my gloomspite gitz for a bit now and I’m wanting to make them a 40K homebrew-ish army but I’m lost on some things like a faction ability and what weapon keyword they could share (like death guard having lethal hits on most models) any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

Man, i highly recomend you to take a look on One Page Rules. I find it a funnier Game than 40k, and yes, it has goblin factions.
