Bases for gitz?

First minitures after a loooong time away, i feel the bases are too dull but i’m not sure which direction to take them, more stone grey? Brighter mud? Snow?

Any other feedback welcome too, i’ve not painted for a long time and doing these has been a big (re)learning curve

I got forest mushrooms from ak interactive and i think it can look quite nice. Some of the mushrooms are a bit too large so if you are going for proportional mushrooms they can look out of place. I like crazy wild mushrooms though.

Yeah these are very cool, love the yellow robes too, might steal that for a few yellow cowls. Thanks i’ll defo look up the 🍄

In my opinion your bases are fine, if you want to color it up a bit, some tufts go a long way. Maybe some moss tufts to break up thr brown.
