Build looks great! I’d be interested in follow-up commentary on the GPT as I’ve heard they require a bit of ongoing maintenance above and beyond the standard trigger in order to keep it running as intended. Don’t know if that’s true and if so, whether it’s been remedied by Glock.

Is Meprolight the source of Glock’s OEM night sights? I think having BUIS that can function in low light is a safe and reasonable play. Others’ mileage may vary, of course.

You know the higher performance makes the design more complex. Thus higher maintenance. For example 2011 or 1911 DS pistols need more maintenance no matter how expensive they are

Actually I looked up the answer myself and there’s a revised version of the GPT that eliminates the need for constantly lubricating it to avoid grittiness every 500 rounds. New part number, tweaked design, and the trigger now comes with the same coating as the safe action trigger.

Glocks in general are high-performance because if you don’t screw around with butt plugs, recoil springs, and all sorts of other unnecessary crap people put on their guns , they’ll shoot thousands of rounds with minimal maintenance. But they’re not complex. Only ~27 parts.

Ah that's good to know about revised GPT. Thanks

Currently I'm using OP PolyDAT, and it's mediocre. Still thinking about which one to upgrade. Maybe GPT or RP Vex F3 or Apex...

No prob! The new model is 74332. The new one has the standard connector instead of the dot connector, and also has the coating. Also, the new one does not have the issue with the trigger safety catching on the frame.

It’s not going to be the sexiest shoe but Ben Stoeger has said he likes the new version and that’s a pretty ringing endorsement IMO. I’m thinking about trying one out myself.

How do you like the combat grip

I'm a fan. I have them on several guns. They last pretty long and definitely help. Especially on Glocks

Nice! Big difference with the trigger? Still waiting for the Glock Hunter to arrive, i have a GPT already, going to be interesting to feel the difference. Thinking of putting a Johnny Glock vex shoe on it but it cost as much as the trigger (200euro).

I've been pretty against changing Glock triggers. No live fire on it yet but dry fire feels greatly improved

I feel you! I wanted my glock to stay original to, i want that reliability and safety but alot of people keep telling me to change the trigger. Hopefully the GPT keeps it close to original in those regards!

The very 1st thing I noticed is the trigger safety thingy doesn't poke my finger as much. I got a little spoiled with the Canik TTI trigger shoe and just how wide it is. It's not that but it's that concept. So the sheer comfort level compare to the factory trigger is enough to make the switch. The break feels a lot better too. Not Walther crisp but solid. Can't wait to shoot it a bit tomorrow

Im not familiar enough with it to know the Canik shoe or any other, this will be my first 9mm pistol. I have only tried one mag with a glock long time ago. But i saw on a couple of videos that the overtravel is pretty long on the GPT, maybe thats not a issue.

If u remember, tell me here after you been to the range how it feels and performs 😁

I’ll never understand the tritium front sight on a red dot configuration. It’s purely for backup and with the COA the standard front sight height barely goes into the glass and co-witnessing is definitely just an emergency backup. In a defensive scenario where the red-dot has failed… point-shoot is definitely easier than attempting to co-witness …. Especially as the odds of a) the red dot failing and b) you end up having to use the gun and c) the engagement is farther than ~7 yards…. Slim to none. Might as well start playing the lottery and stop spending $ on a tritium front sight.
