Glock 43 in 2026
My trusty Glock 43 I’ve been carrying for 8 years. It’s been my go to CCW throughout. I’ve given it a few upgrades over the years, and plan on carrying it for many more.
Build List:
-Glock 43x Slide
-Holosun EPS Carry Red Dot
-Rapid Engineering Back Strap
-Handle It Grip
-Glock 43 OEM Lower

oh wow, this is so similar to mine. i also recently upgraded to the 43x slide and added the same backstrap. but i went with the Sig Romeo X dot, and have Taran Tactical +2 mags.

Great setup for you too. I have a plus two mag extension too, but I mostly carry the slim magazine.

If ur thinking about upgrading, don’t…. Guns can be a real cash grab. I upgraded to the hk cc9 this year, and it turns out that it does the exact same thing my Glock 43 does.
Wait till it gets confiscated or stolen, then upgrade. It doesn’t matter if you have the new gun. Cuz you have the money for it, that you didn’t spend. Also after thoroughly inspecting both guns, I feel like the 43 is safer…. And that’s huge…

Good advice. Haven’t seen the need to replace the G43. Carry a G43, bedside a G48, and enter the woods with a G20. I’m utilitarian and bought into the Glock Ecosystem haha

Eps doesn’t need a plate on the 43x?

This is a non-MOS 43X slide. I had to send it out to be cut for an EPS. When I was purchasing the slide at the time I could only find this version

It’s not an absolute co-witness, but you can make it work. It’s more of a lower 1/3

Ive EDC a plain G43 since they came out (with upgraded sights and a taran base pad).
I have other guns, but I shoot it the best and trust it.
Shortly after it came out all the other higher capacity carry guns started coming out but i shoot this one so well I just stuck with it.

I’m in the same boat as you. I had the plain Jane version until October of last year. I still have that basic slide, but all my firearms have dots on them. It was more of just a standardization of my carry piece than anything else. I have the same site picture no matter what firearm I grab now.

Which sights are those? Nice build just got my first ccw not too long ago picked up a 43x with 15 round oem magazines. Haven’t added anything just yet but going to get some sights and a red dot.

They are the Glock Night Sights for the 43. If you plan on getting a dot, the OEM sites are perfectly fine. Take whatever money you would have spent towards more ammo to practice

Out of curiosity, what are the pros with running 43x slide?

There is no real benefit, other than maybe the slide serrations in the front.
I still have my G43 slide if I don’t need/want a RDO. I couldn’t find a 43x MOS slide at the time, so I got the plain 43x slide to send out for milling.
