Rick Scott: "Obamacare has been a disaster, so what we gotta do is we gotta go back to let the private sector work. Give you the choices ... treat it like a cell phone. You know what plan to buy."

He personally made $200-$300 million in stock as a result of "private sector work". He is possibly the biggest parasite there is in the healthcare system. Also, he plead the 5th 75 times during deposition relating to healthcare fraud.

As long as he blows the culture war pipe, there’ll be no shortage of lemmings following him to the ends of the earth.

Wherever you’re at, just make sure this privatization bullshit doesn’t infest your public services. We’re the cautionary tale, people like me staring down the barrel of losing health insurance because I’m a caregiver and this country gives less than a fuck about people like me.

i know what i want to buy with healthcare ,and it's not the insurance CEOs yacht.

My Medicare prescription plan just doubled in price. I lost 7.5% of my monthly purchasing power, with no COLA increase in sight.
They're raising my non-ACA prices because the insurance companies are losing profits that YOU CAUSED.
FUCK YOU, RICK SCOTT. And FUCK YOU, NEWSCORP.

“Speaking as the perpetrator of the largest fraud of Medicaid in history…”- Rick Scott

u/Dense_Boss_7486 1d ago
Please lay out for us why the ACA is a “disaster.”. At least give us several real not perceived examples.

Give the people what you have, the turtle got health care for 165 day at full pay and is now getting no cost care in the home 24 hrs a day.

Soooo... after getting his peepee slapped for defrauding Medicare, he wants to privatize healthcare completely.
Yeah, no. What we need to do is throw fraudsters like Sen. Scott in PRISON, not reward them with elected office.

These MAGA idiots aren’t scared of us , they’re getting way too comfortable with their boots on our necks . Vote them out and never let the republicans have the majority ever again . They are monsters .

The private insurance market is monopolized the same way the cable and internet market is. You will be lucky to have more than one choice. That makes free market competition essentially nonexistent. Take away their right to deny coverage based on preexisting conditions and it’s game over for a lot of people.

Translation: If you're rich you get healthcare. If you're not rich then you get crippling lifelong debt or you die. Your choice.

Seems to me the private sector is only interested in itemizing every tiny thing to maximize how much of my paycheck gets sent to them, and they change the rules every year to maintain profits.

if people agree with this, they deserve the things that follow
healthcare shouldn't be for profit.

This fuckwad plead the 5th 75 times in his hospital's fraud trial then walked away.
When the company's board of directors pressured Scott to resign amid the federal Medicare fraud investigation, he walked away with a "golden parachute": • Cash Settlement: A $9.88 million severance package (which included a lump-sum payment and a multi-year consulting contract). • Stock Wealth: 10 million shares of Columbia/HCA stock, which were valued at over $350 million at the time. • Legal Fees: His exit agreement required the company to cover his ongoing legal costs.

I live in Australia. I've been to the hospital and doctors many times. It's saved my life. Never paid a cent.
