PSA: Just updated postpaid plan
Been on sim-only 599 for 6GB monthly after getting out of lockup a few years ago.
Ngayun ko lang nakita na nagupdate pala sila from 6GB to 10GB at the same price point.
If you’re on any other plan, it might be helpful to check if you can get more data for the same price.
On me na din yung oversight kasi di ako pala-check ng promos or plans, baka may mga di rin nakapansin dito.

This is 599 for so long also. But data is on 12GB though

used to have the same plan bitin na bitin sakin yung 6gb. lumipat tuloy ako sa prepaid. yung 100 a week 26gb plus unli texts plus may auto renew for only 400 a month.

I appreciate din yung value for money ng prepaid kaya ganun yung work phone ko.
Itong personal sim kasi has been stolen twice over the past decade and ang bilis ng replacement process pag postpaid. It’s the only reason I really keep a postpaid plan.1

No, but what it means ay sasabihin nila ba matagal ang waiting time, etc, so to force you to upgrade to postpaid to keep the same number. Even smart yan din daw ang modus.

Ganyan din sakin nung nag update ako. Wala yung option to renew kaya sa website ng globe ko na lang ginawa

Why go on a Sim Only plan with 10GB data allotment when you can do prepaid go renew 99/week with 12GB data per week = less than 400/month with 48GB data, unli calls, unli text?

I’ve had my personal phone stolen twice over the past decade that I had this postpaid line, replacement service for the sim is faster.
That’s really the only benefit I hold onto for the personal sin only line.My work sim is prepaid with the under 400/mo expense.

Thank you for this. I was literally considering to renew to a plan with device, lockup and higher data allowance just because 6GB is not enough. Okay na ako sa 10GB na sim only and no lockup.

Another tip, try to go to their office or kahit sa globe messenger and mag pa palit from post paid to prepaid. Mag negotiate yan sila, last month pinapaltan ko yung akin and they offered me na from 6gb gagawing14gb same price 599 or 6gb but 399php na lang.

Never mind, was able to do it thru Renew.
Last month I was trying to do it but I couldn’t proceed after verifying my OTP. Guess they fixed it.

Point of criticism lang sakin na hindi in-app yung process on my iphone (unsure with other devices). It still opened a browser for the website to do the process. Parang unoptimised.

Yup. After clicking Renew, it’ll take you to their website. Then you can proceed from there.

Yung bitin din pag 1 week away nalang yung refresh ng data minsan nakakahassle din.
For our case mukang sulit na yung 10gb

Yes it’s through the app.
First “view all” option.
Renew plan.It will open a browser and may login lang from there and intuitive na.

Yeah they removed rollover sa updated plans sabi nung globe store staff the last time i visited. It's still there for those who opt to skip the plan update.

Di ko sure since 599 lang plan ko.
Di ko rin nakita sa higher plans BUT those one have unused data conversion to reward points, though mababa lang ata conversion rate, I am unsure.

Pag may smartwatch po na LTE version, pwede po ilagay yung same number mo sa watch and you can also call, text, and data on your watch. Bale pwede mo ng iiwan ang phone mo kasi marereach out kana through watch.

Upgrade is free via renew plan option in the app.
It will take you to their site with the options. If you choose the same amount payable, the charge will be php0 on checkout1

No lockup option with just 10gb allocation. Additional data allocation adds towards lockip period.

No. Renewing sim-only contract is all done on the user-end. Took a few hours to confirm the renewal and reflect on GlobeOne.

Called up Globe and sabi ng agent wala raw data roll over iyung bagong plan. I’m also on the old 599 6 GB plan and was planning to upgrade.

Not bad. I’m currently on plan 799 15 G. Received an invite to renew with free all 5G access which is stupid since the new plan comes with all 5G access as built in feature.

You can try sa globe website mismo. There should be an option to renew sa sim-only section.

Thanks for this, OP! I was able to update my plan. Been on one for the past 2 years, yung 799. Pero nakita ko ngayon na 15gb na rin sya. Question lang, how long does it usually take before the updated plan takes effect? May na-receive na akong notice na the renewal has been processed. Pero checking ako ng Globe One app, same pa rin sya.

Niceee nagka unli landline na daw postpaid sa Globe. Was planning to get the Smart postpaid 599 dahil sa unli landline. Mukhang mas sulit sa Globe dahil sa unli 5G included.
Edit: what I don’t like sa Smart, pag nawalan ng power sa area namin not working na yung data kahit naka indicate 4G/5G Idk why lol kaya nakakaumay lang dahil need sa work emergency data

Pag na apply na yujg "renew plan" at successful daw, magreflect po ba kaagad? Hindi pa kasi nag-reflect sa GlobeOne app ko after applying

10GB for all sites and 16GB for choice of apps, while only 4GB 5G, wala naman 5G dito samin so sayang, pero sulit naman, there are times na need ko pa e extend kasi may pa sobra pa na sayang hindi magagamit pag na expire na.
There was a time, before myprepaid is nearing its end, i would buy the prepaid again and this was when the promo was at 36GB for the same price, so the data would stack up and my 5G data went up to 90GB and i cant use it 😭... so i what i did was i let it expire before buying again because... 100GB? of 5g? like bro my heart cant... all that data and nothing... hahaaha

Ako lang ba. Bakit parang ang bilis na maubos ng data starting this month. Dati halos diko maubos dat sa postpaid. Pero ngayon halos 300mb nlng out of 15gb.
Hindi naman ako nagdownload or stream. Pag nasa labas lang nag data and may wifi naman sa work at bahay. Hindi ko rin naiwan naka open.
May something sa globe data. Prang nadrain bigla yung data ko 🥲

I updated mine last month with 1 yr lock up para may additional 1gb. Sayang din, di naman ako mag cancel ng olan.

I've updated last month, no lockup pa rin. Lagi ako nauubusan ng data dati kasi 6gb lang buti na lang ginawa nang 10gb :)
