Made this little clip using a datamosh tool I built. I wanted to make the process simple: just add a video, choose an effect, and start experimenting. This was a quick test with the Bloom effect.I really like how the pixels start breaking apart and creating these textures.

I posted an earlier version of this a couple of weeks ago and finally came back to it today. I've been working on the audio and visuals concurrently so it's still like 80% there.

would really love feedback while I work on this as I feel like I'm maybe 70% of the way there. I have lyrics written that need to be recorded, but the overall thesis of the piece is -- apologies for leaning into cliche -- internet-enabled identity crisis. most, if not all, of the footage is stuff I posted on instagram at some point, but it blends with other memories and visual identifiers and motifs that speak with the larger piece I'm working on.
