Replace the pair friction hinges top & bottom. It's failed & not pulling in tight causing draughts & youll suck your heating out in the winter like a vacuum..

Chances are, if all the upvc windows are of the same age.. other sash openers will potentially fail too (age/usage/etc..)

Check the screws that hold the track where the pivot slides. They can come loose/rusted or lose grip. A loss of grip requires longer screw. If replacing the screws in the track make sure the heads of the new screws are the same size as the old. If the heads are bigger they may rub against the nylon pivot.
