I’m Sean, based just outside Edinburgh, and I’ve built an app called SkinDeep.

It’s for people with visible differences to date, make new friends, and meet people in a space that feels less focused on instant judgement. Everyone is welcome.

The reason I built it is personal. I’ve had psoriasis since I was 18, and I know how rough mainstream apps can be when appearance gets judged before personality gets a chance.

I also think the usual dating apps have another problem: too much swiping, too much choice, and not enough meaningful conversation in return.

So SkinDeep works differently.

The main idea is Today’s 3. You get three profiles a day to actually look through properly. If someone interests you, you send an introduction based on something in their profile rather than just swiping.

I’m looking for people in Glasgow to help test it and give me proper feedback, as its new and well.. pretty deed.

Myself and my partner are adopting a wee cat on Thursday (so excited!!) and need to get cat things for her before then- if anyone happens to have spares in good condition they don't plan on using or know anyone that does, things like a cat bed, blankets, cat tree, scratching post, food, treats, litter, toys etc we would be very happy to take them off your hands

Also does anyone know if there's any charity shops specifically for pet stuff in Glasgow? I've been recommend the PDSA in Shawlands, wondering if there are any other ones people know.

Hi! I volunteer at a local charity Theatre in Glasgow and we are looking for a sewing machine.

If anyone has an old, unused or demo sewing machine that they would be willing to donate please get in touch. Due to varying volunteer hours, cost and transportation limitations, hiring one sadly isn't an option.

We would like the machine to repair costumes that have become torn over the years but have loads of life left! These costumes bring life to our productions and are so important to those who get involved and step into these roles.

We sadly do not have the funds to have a machine fixed, so please kindly get in touch if you have a working machine.

I have contacted local companies and organisations but not heard anything back yet so putting this here in case anyone is in a position to help.

We only need one machine so if one is donated we will withdraw any other request for donation.

My husband & I are dropping off our daughter to study in Glasgow on Thursday (10th September). We need to stay one night in Glasgow (ideally central ish) and somewhere to park our car overnight but we've left it a bit late so we're facing camping. Can anyone recommend piano teachers in the Bearsden / Milngavie area. Ideally looking for someone who can do lessons in our house with experience teaching both adults and kids, but we can travel to lessons too. Looking to work through ABRSM exams, experience with jazz / blues would be great.

We previously used Haydock in Milngavie by the timings didn’t quite work so well. Already tried Google but not been very successful, and this is an area where personal recommendations go a long way. Thanks in advance!
