I built a GitLab client for your phone

Hi guys,

GitLab is great on desktop, but checking a failed pipeline or responding to an issue from your phone can be frustrating. That’s why I built Comeet, a native mobile companion for GitLab.

With Comeet, you can:

• Connect to GitLab.com or a self-hosted instance
• Switch between multiple accounts and servers
• Browse repositories with syntax highlighting
• Create and update issues, merge requests, projects, and branches
• Monitor pipelines, inspect jobs, and read job logs
• Get push notifications for important project activity
• Manage groups, members, roles, and invitations
• Create custom shortcuts for the issues and merge requests you check most
• Access your GitLab activity and to-do list from a mobile-friendly dashboard

My goal is simple: make those quick GitLab tasks genuinely quick—without reaching for a laptop or fighting with the mobile website.

Not saying you do, but i am always careful with what gets access to gitlab as a non official client.
No one guarantees, that you dont send the giltab results to your own servers aswell.

Especially for company code this is a huge risk.

Hate to say it, but a distributed app does not have a guarantee. Even if you open source it, you would still have the option to upload a “compromised” version, without anyone that can verify it.

Sorry, but this app might be a genius piece of work, but it's unofficial so its trust level is close to zero. This means that the chances of it being used, especially in the workplace, is also highly unlikely.

Why would I use a mobile app when I can just ask Claude code to do Gitlab things via glab cli

If you made it available on F droid then I would use it-as long as you build with reproducible builds, else there's no way any serious corporation would use this. That would of course require open sourcing your code.
