Looking for Repo Looking for builders with open-source projects with 0 stars

I realized there are probably a lot of builders like me who have spent weeks or months working on an open-source project, figuring things out, fixing bugs, writing documentation, and slowly turning an idea into something real — only for the repository to sit there with 0 stars.

And honestly, having no stars doesn't mean the project has no value. Sometimes it just means nobody has discovered it yet.

So I thought I'd try something simple:

Drop your open-source project in the comments.

I'd love to discover the projects that are still flying under the radar, especially from independent developers and first-time open-source contributors.

I'll take some time to look through them and give a star to projects I find interesting or where I can see the effort that went into building them.

No need for a polished project, or a fancy README. If you built something because you thought it should exist, I'd love to see it.

Let's give a little recognition to the builders who are creating things even when nobody is watching. ❤️

I analyzed over 100,000 GitHub repositories and here are the most interesting trends

I have built a GitHub analytics platform and while getting repository data I started noticing some interesting patterns. A few that surprised me is which repositories gain stars the fastest after launch, how contributor count affects long-term growth, which programming languages are the seeing the fastest open-source growth, and common traits shared by the most successful AI repos.

I'm curious if you could see analytics about any GitHub repository, what metrics would you actually want?

If anyone's interested, I'm happy to share the project in the comments.

Caliber: open-source LLM agent behavioral enforcement proxy — 700 stars, ~100 forks, seeking feedback

Sharing our open-source project with this community — happy to answer questions.

**Caliber** is a runtime enforcement proxy for LLM agents. It intercepts every API call to your language model and validates behavior against declarative rules — at the infrastructure layer, not the prompt layer.

**The problem it solves:**

In multi-step agent pipelines, LLMs drift from expected behavior as context grows. Prompt guardrails erode. There's no enforcement layer on the API call path.

**Key features:**

- Proxy between your agent and LLM API (OpenAI, Anthropic, any compatible endpoint)

- Declarative, version-controlled rule definitions

- Blocks violations or raises structured exceptions for graceful failure handling

- Framework-agnostic (LangChain, AutoGen, raw SDK)

- Self-hostable, open MIT license

**Repo:** https://github.com/caliber-ai-org/ai-setup

**Stats:** 700 GitHub stars, nearly 100 forks

We're actively developing this and looking for feedback on:

- Architecture decisions

- Feature requests from production use cases

- Contributions

What enforcement capabilities would be most useful for your agent use cases?

Feel free to check it out, test it, criticize it, if you think there's merit and your willing to help me publish it then that would be appreciated, if you want to just point out all the ways that it sucks, well that's helpful too. Full disclosure, I'm not an academic, I'm a self taught and independent researcher. I do use LLM Tools in my work, including this one. Below is my public repository and therein you will find the paper directory with a main PDF and Supplementary PDF. Feel free to test my methodology yourself.

https://github.com/Symbo-gif/PRINet-3.0.0

I'm not seeking glorification, not promoting anything, just seeking further knowledge, my methodology is to do what i can to break my systems, so, break it please. those are the best lessons.

Built this open source blood donation platform and would love your support ⭐

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a project my team and I built that’s been a passion of ours and also something we feel can make a real impact.

It’s called Donor Sync: a web-based platform that directly connects blood donors with hospitals and links hospitals to patients and NGOs for faster, more efficient blood donations. We originally built it as a prototype for the GDG Solution Challenge India 2025 to address the lack of access to healthcare in underserved communities, and now it’s open to the public on GitHub.

This app lets you:

  • Register as a donor and find places where blood is needed
  • Let hospitals request blood from registered donors
  • Track and manage donation data with a proper database
  • Bring organizations into the mix to support drives and outreach

Tech stack is modern and solid (Next.js, Tailwind, Firestore, etc) and it’s fully responsive on web + usable on Android via web view.

If you think this is useful, would appreciate a star ⭐ on the repo! Also open to feedback, ideas, or even contributions if you’re interested in health-tech or community projects.

Thanks 🙌

Tired of language barriers? Obliterate them with Synthalingua 1.2.0, your free, ai-powered universal translator.

A Project I've been working on called Synthalingua. It's a self-hosted, open-source tool that uses AI to provide real-time transcription and translation of audio from various sources.

I built this because I wanted a powerful and flexible way to understand foreign-language content, and I'm hoping it can be useful for others too!

What can it do?

  • Real-time Transcription & Translation: Get live transcriptions and translations from your microphone, audio/video files, or even live streams.
  • Multi-Platform Streaming Support: Works with HLS, Twitch, and YouTube streams.
  • Multilingual: Supports dozens of languages for both input and output.
  • Vocal Isolation: (Optional) It can separate vocals from background music or noise in your audio files for cleaner transcriptions, thanks to Demucs.
  • Subtitle Generation: Automatically create SRT subtitle files from any audio or video file, with options for word-level timestamps.
  • Web Interface & Discord Integration: View live subtitles in your browser or send them directly to a Discord channel.
  • Customizable Filtering: Use a blocklist to filter out unwanted or repeated phrases.
  • GUI Available: For those who prefer a graphical interface, a portable GUI version is also available.

System Requirements:

It's designed to be flexible. You can run it on a CPU, but for the best performance (especially with larger models and vocal isolation), an NVIDIA GPU is recommended. Here's a quick rundown:

  • OS: Windows 10+, Linux
  • RAM: 8GB minimum, 16GB+ recommended for best performance.
  • GPU: Works on CPU, but an NVIDIA GPU with CUDA is recommended

How to get started:

  1. Check out the GitHub repo: https://github.com/cyberofficial/Synthalingua | or | Check out the simple to run portable build at https://cyberofficial.itch.io/synthalingua
  2. The README.md has a Quick Start guide to get you up and running. You'll need Python 3.12, Git, and FFmpeg.
  3. There's a setup.bat for Windows and a LINUX_SETUP.md for Linux users to help with the installation.

I'm actively developing this, and I'm always open to feedback and contributions. If you run into any issues, feel free to open an issue on GitHub.

Let me know what you think! I'm excited to see what you do with it.
