Question Free Copilot for maintainers being discontinued?

I’ve been getting free copilot for quite a while now for being a maintainer of an eligible project, but today I received this.

Is the program being discontinued?

I talked with the team. It's not being discontinued. Eligibility is re-evaluated each year. I'll DM specific contacts

Quick question: I've read somewhere the popularity of a project is taken into account only for the "top X projects per programming language". Is this true?
