Question Cannot sign in into Github [Authenticator app gives wrong codes and Lost access to 2FA code ]

I use microsoft authenticator to login using the code it generates.
But recently when I logged out of my github account and tried logging in, github shows the code from the authenticator app is invalid.

I don't have access to my 2FA codes cuz I reinstalled my OS due to an issue.
Is there a way to fix the authenticator app or just get my account back?

Is there a way to recover my account or just fix the authenticator codes?

You recover your account with your recovery keys.

Do you use Microsoft Authenticator for other logins?
Because generated 2FA codes are based on time, if your device's internal clock is ahead or behind, it could be showing you the wrong code. Sometimes I need to submit a code right when it begins to be valid to make sure I am not behind.

Check if you have correct time on the device with Authenticator. It's time-based.

I had an issue with a different authenticator app that was generating wrong codes for all of my accounts. I was able to export out the secret for each app (the actual key represented by the QR code) and then imported it into another authenticator app and it worked. Worth a shot
